POOP. that sucks, I was hoping to land Kaden and have another Helenan on the team. Good luck to him!
Hopefully they all receive the education they were hoping for.

With the Cali QB grey shirting they are technically same class. Would this have impacted the decision

This guy is 2023. Not sure what he means.

My first thought as well. VIM may know otherwise, but we could have commitments elsewhere and couldn't offer the same as dUMb. Or perhaps Vigen likes the guys currently on his the radar more. Being the premier recruit and top QB prospect in the state of Montana doesn't necessarily equate to being the best FCS bound QB available.

He had full ride offers from both us and the Griz. Believe me, we wanted him in blue and gold. This was a good pick up for them.

FWIW the player from the Helena area that I think has the best shot at playing D1 ball is Gavin Vandenacre a WR out of Townsend. He’s fast, tall and athletic.

No offer yet but if he has another good year, an offer should come. He's a stud.

Huot has good size and is a good athlete, which is what makes him coveted. I think he has a lot of potential for growth at QB, but if that doesn't work out he could probably play other positions. Of his 21 TD passes, 13-14 of them were in three games (Big Sky, Hellgate, and Flathead and he had five in two of those games, which broke the school record). He had a decent game (21-45-1, 274 yards, 3 TDs) in the playoffs at home against Bozeman (35-28 loss). It'll be interesting to see how he and the Bengals do this year. I saw where ex-Bengal and ex-MSU quarterback Kevin Flatow responded to Huot's tweet about getting a championship, so I'm assuming they have a solid team (Evans also returns) returning based on that. HHS hasn't won the state title in ages (1932?), so that would be nice for them if they could do that. I doubt anyone is alive that played on their last state title team. They'd be well over 100-years-old if so.

I saw him play basketball and run track. I didn’t see him play football, but a few coaches said he’d be a force in AA at WR. Even got a Matt Miller comparison. Not sure about that, but they were very big on him. Ran an 11.2 100 meters in state prelims. I think he placed in six events at state B meet. Scored 32 against state champ Lodge Grass. 15+ ppg.

Anybody at State A/B track heard his name announced about 100 times. Has a sister who just finished her freshman year who won the 300MH at state. Athletic family.

Just saw Tyson Rostad also committed to Missoula. He is the younger brother of Carson and from the Hamilton area. I was told he is better than Carson and has more upside. Vim please feel free to chime in on this as I’m curious to your thoughts.

Sorry I'm not sorry, but I don't know who the F#@! would go to Idaho State for ANY reason. Poor decision IMO
