Charles Brown has been injured. I don’t believe he will play this Spring

What about DeMareus Hosey? Didn't see his name mentioned in Saturday's scrimmage recap, so I assume he's also injured?

Re: 2021 spring ball
In the write-up Vegan (Vigen) said the D-Line was thin. Are there significant injuries at that position?

Re: 2021 spring ball
I saw Hosey in both prior Saturday practices, in all drills and contact situations. But this last Saturday scrimmage, he was held out and did not dress out.

Re: 2021 spring ball
Its McKay and its not really that close as Matt is just as good of a thrower as Casey & Tucker but has that added rushing element. MSU has been missing a true dual-threat from the QB position since Dakota (no offense to Troy and Chris Murray but those two were runners who tried to become throwers over time) and Matt is working out nicely thus far.
If I had to build a depth chart right now:
1) Matt - clear makes the most plays of all the QBs
2/3) Casey or Tucker - they've both been solid during spring drills
4) Blake Thelen - has closed the gap on Casey & Tucker but I wouldn't be surprised if he transfers post spring to go get playing time
5) Tommy Mellott - great athlete who can create outside of structure but still learning the ropes of working within structure

Thanks Vim. Re: 2021 spring ball
I saw Jaharie at a practice last Fall and he looked like Earl Campbell, huge legs and really powerful. I looked it up and Earl was 5-11, 232lbs and Jaharie is 5-11, 232lbs. Now, I don’t know how fast Jaharie is, but size-wise, he is going to be a beast. I would love to see one smallish um safety meet Jaharie face to face next November.mslacatfan wrote: ↑Mon Apr 12, 2021 4:48 pmJaharie Martin is not getting any smaller....... yikes.

Unfortunately, he'll take a bad angle and not be in on the play. Still get credit for a tackle though.AFCAT wrote: ↑Mon Apr 12, 2021 6:24 pmI saw Jaharie at a practice last Fall and he looked like Earl Campbell, huge legs and really powerful. Re: 2021 spring ball
I have heard There is a noticeable difference in how the team plays when McKay is under center. I think we could see either Rovig or Bauman transfer if they don’t win the job. McKay, Theilen, and Tommy fit together. Rovig and Bauman Fit and together. Which direction do we go? One of Choate’s downfalls was he didn’t know which way to move so he stocked both cupboards.
