Duh. Yes I was thinking San Diego State. So San Diego is FCS, good deal.kennethnoisewater wrote: ↑Thu Feb 18, 2021 2:32 pmYou're thinking of San Diego State probably. The Aztecs, where Hauck was the ST coordinator before coming back to the community college over the hill.

Re: 2021 Schedule
Absolutely! Playoff counting wins...who cares who it's against. Always hated the D2 games--they're like a wasted week and make your margin of error for the remainder of the season very slim.

Re: 2021 Schedule
I don't think this coaching staff will miss a beat, but think that 9-2 (with an FBS game on the schedule) is always optimistic. That being said, in order to make a run at a national championship in the near future, I think this team needs to basically take over the Big Sky. They need to be the presumptive favorite every weekend during the conference season - no matter whether they play at home or on the road. If they get a bump in talent/performance at QB and more consistent defensive play, I think that is quite possible. It will be nice to have two weeks to get ready for EWU/(Idaho)/UM.

San Diego isn't a pushover either. They win the Pioneer every year. They laid it on NAU in 2017 in the opening round of the playoffs before getting smacked by NDSU.

Re: 2021 Schedule
A couple of notes, Cats get a tough break in that both Weber and EWU their bye just before their MSU game. That said, if either makes a run this spring, they will have a lot of miles on their tires by the time they see MSU. Any Big Sky team that makes the semifinal will have played 9 spring games and then have their fall schedule as well. We will be Weber's 6th game in the fall and EWU's 9th game...

Re: 2021 Schedule
Every single game is winnable. I expect a statement win from Vigen in week 1. It's time to be considered a JMU type team that earns its chance at the Bison in the semis or finals every single year. I expect new BSC championship banners. I fully expect a continuation of the last 6.5 quarters in the next Brawl, and bury those grizzidiots.
I'm going with:
11-0 on the high side
9-2 if things don't go well.

Cheyenne is roughly 45 min away and has a lot more hotels. Ft. Collins is an hr south. Not much in Laradise. One of Vigen's first comments was how impressed he was by the Bz airport. I imagine they(wyoming) bus to Cheyenne for all their flights.

Re: 2021 Schedule
Yes, SD is by know means a automatic win. They give damn near every team they play in playoffs fits and they make it there every year because they get the automatic bid from their conference every year. This schedule is a tough one.BleedingBLue wrote: ↑Thu Feb 18, 2021 3:49 pmSan Diego isn't a pushover either. They win the Pioneer every year. Dumb question, and I probably missed the answer somewhere else. What game will be homecoming?

I think somebody else said Cal Poly was coming to Missoula and Bozeman for both schools' homecomings.CalgaryCat wrote: ↑Thu Feb 18, 2021 10:18 pmDumb question, and I probably missed the answer somewhere else. What game will be homecoming?
