We still haven't had anyone enter the portal since Choate left have we (besides Munchie who was leaving anyway)? I know it's still only February but that's impressive.
Well no matter what there will be attrition after the spring season (or whatever it is right now) is over as they'll have to cut down the roster size due to seniors getting another year and a new freshman class coming in.

Its been a good sign that none of our stars have left, that's for sure.
They honesty have nowhere to go.

Rosters are more than full with players getting an extra year plus an additional recruiting class.
TA could probably go to anywhere he wanted to play, super glad he and others are staying put.

I would love to see the statistics on how many players entered the portal in 2020 and ended up either not going anywhere or just being left off rosters as their spot got taken on their old roster.

Early in the pandemic there was talk about the NCAA allowing a 4-5 year phased roster reduction. Has anyone seen a recent update or did this fall thru?

According to Keith Grabowski, host of The Coach & Coordinator podcast, an astounding 72% of the players in the 2021 transfer portal do not have a home. Out of 1,074 players in the portal, just 299 (28%) have a school to attend on scholarship in 2021.

So what's the status with Greg Filer? I can't find that he landed anywhere.

I don't think he's landed anywhere yet - he has offers from NAU, PSU, and Sac.

Oregon starting QB Tyler Shough enters the transfer portal. A good P5 QB who would be a star in FCS.

He has signed with Texas Tech.

Man after watching that presser, Houseright really impresses me. Seems smart. And well spoken. Clear vision.

You can tell he's an intellectual guy. I'm excited about him too. But I thought Banks was awesome. He got off to a little bit of a slow start it seemed like, but I get the impression he's a guy who really understands the importance of connections with his players and his fellow coaches. Right or wrong, players today have to feel a connection with their coaching staff and really like them. I think they're going to really like this guy, plus I think he's incredibly bright. He went from D-II(?) to playing for NDSU, then has climbed the ladder quickly. That tells me he didn't rely on athleticism alone to be a solid player--he's really smart, as well as ambitious.
