yes, he went to Cal for a couple years, then to Miami. Hard to believe he coached DBs at Montana State just 4-5 years ago!

crazy that we have two coaches in the NFL right now that have coached at MSU within the last 5 years. GA is fantastic, and the Dolphins secondary and defense was salty this year - super cool for him!

I wonder how GA likes the NFL compared to college. I got the impression he really enjoyed the recruiting grind as well as being a mentor to young men.

I think GA for sure has the skill set and drive to be a DC in the NFL within 5 years 99, but I lean toward WBTFG on this. GA always seemed so pumped up about the recruiting process and helping mold these younger kids into men, much like Cho4te. I think we see him go back to the College ranks and take up a DC roll there, but who knows. Have to go where the money and the job security is! Wish him the best, although I wouldn't turn down seeing him be our HC in 5 years....(which would be a huge pay cut for him and never going to happen haha).

I don't believe Choate lied to us or the team. Once a riff like the HC at Boise, you never know what will come out of the woodwork. Thanks Jeff for everything and best of luck.

Incoming and existing players have to feel even better about our coaching staff. Choate probably second at BSU and now Kane in running at UW.

Choate to Texas and Ione to (allegedly) to Boise State.

Nobody is exactly happy about this and I’m sure things could have been handled differently, but damn. Take a break for a min. People just need to relax a bit.

As much as I am displeased by this news, I would rather worry about a HC leaving upwards (lateral? - depending how you look at it I guess) rather than getting back to a point where we are calling for his head and job. We had a coach that is sought after in a lot of different capacities and that was a good thing for us, no matter how crappy it is "right now". So, I hope that whoever the new coach is can continue to move the program in the direction that we all desire.

We are what we are. We are not a destination program for a head coach. I hope that we hire a new coach with ambitions that makes us better and moves on in about 5 years.
