Interesting prospect. Super undersized last year, sounds like the coaches told him to put on 30 pounds and we'll talk.. and he did.

Me likey...

“That kid’s a brainiac,” McLaughlin said. “He can call anything out on that football field. He’s someone you look to, ‘what’s the play?’ ‘What’s the call?’ With coverage, and all these other things, Tyson’s reliable.”

He recorded 57 tackles (seven for loss) as a junior, helping lead the Vikings’ defense from the secondary throughout its run to the 5A state finals. But it’s his instincts that separate the senior. “Might as well give him a whistle, he’s our coach on the field,” CdA coach Shawn Amos said. “Instincts, anticipation, he knows the game so well.”

Combined with quote from the other article he sounds like a coach's dream.

Welcome to MSU. Watching the tape, I'm impressed with his open field tackles, quick to pick up the play. I'm assuming he'll be a safety.
