Love that guy. I literally have no idea if it's a good move or not, I'm just happy for BJ. I don't think I know a better guy than him.

A conspiracy theorist might think this move is because Choate is a top candidate for the Utah State job. 8) \:D/

Talked to some people and the thing is rigged. I’ll let you know how soon.

Matt Wells is probably begging for that job back. He's about to get run out of Tech!

Did we already forget Choate was planning for a new head coach in case he left?

This was because of Covid precautions. If Choate became sick, then Robertson would be the head coach for any games.

Yeah....zero way Robertson is our next HC if Choate leaves.

I would be so mad.

I think they'd go with Ioane for the spring season and use it as a litmus test.

That was pretty much the same conclusion I came to. It would provide the best continuity.

Just carrying this scenario to its logical end, if that does happen and we win the Cat griz game then Ioane's our new head coach.

I agree with this, however IF Choate gets the job and IF Kane and Daly leave with Choate, I think BJ would be the best person as an interim until a new outside coach is hired due to his strong connection and relationships with the players and contacts across the state.

It would be hard for Kane, or anyone in his shoes, to turn down a job that's borderline P5.

If Choate leaves and takes Ioane, Daly, Hout, & Udy with him...that will be a gut punch. The report only stated Udy and Hout and I would be in a much better state of mind as a fan if we still had Kane and Bobby here to stay.

Next head coach. I said this when he was elevated and the plan was in place so if Choate left there would be continuity. Now if Iona stays as HC, this would be a gut punch to robertson and he will not stay on. Robertson will be the interim head coach and probably be here for next year.
