Power lifting is also about huge amounts of food (if you want to be any good at it). Between the very low reps and the heavy high calorie food you tend not to move well. Once my metabolism finally shifted allowing me to gain the weight I needed to lift heavy my Golf game and my bowling went in the tank. Not to mention the constant injuries and damaged muscles and joints. A powerlifter lives in the 1-3 rep range. If you want speed and agility you need to be in the higher rep ranges.
Do you have a Masters in Exercise Physiology? Certified Strength and Conditioning Coach through the NSCA? Ever been a collegiate strength coach?

Nope. None of those. I was only referring to the life of a power lifter. When it comes to training for football specifically that is definitely not my area. But he is apparently competing in Powerlifting according to others. If that is true I know how he is lifting and that I do know does not translate to football ideally. I talked with MSU's x-strength coach several times and the one before that. The workouts they do for football are not very similar to powerlifting. Some overlap but not a lot.

Braunson is my friends kid. They stayed at my house when they came down for Cat camp. He's such a good kid. I've got a good feeling he's going to be a Cat. He's going to be a good one and I'd love to have him on our team.

I assume we've had recruits at every game this season. Should we have expected more commitments by now?

 Same. There isn't a single kid from my high school class who could grow a beard like that...and we're all in our 50's.

Couldn’t agree more. That town was so maroon for so long there is just something that feels great about getting the best butte boys.

There were a couple of Helena Capital kids with their letterman jackets at the game, too. Not sure who they were but I imagine someone who has a better idea of the high school landscape could probably take a more educated guess than I.

Any relation to Dewey (and Cassie) Kautzman? Dewey was a Bobcat basketball player and they both bleed blue and gold.

Jaharie Martin was/is? a power lifter. A good one.

I assume this a boom in Vigenese?

I think it is. Lyle Weese certainly indicated so.
Perhaps you mean Ryan Weese, assistant football coach? Tripped me up at first, too.

I don’t think so. Casey grew up as a die hard Griz fan. In the past couple of years he has gravitated to the Blue and Gold. He has a huge leg (51 yarder - distance from 55+) with accuracy. Another high character kid coming from coach Arie Grey’s hard nose Butte program.
