Cat-Griz 2019 (Shane Perry?) baffled the announcers

I don't know if baffled is the right word, but at least twice I heard the ROOT announcers say that MSU has had *five* 100 yard rushers this season. Five's a ridiculous number of 100 yard rushers, so you can't fault them for thinking that, but MSU actually had *six*, not just five. Jones, Ifanse, Andersen, Jonsen, Sumner, and .... Shane Perry (13 carries, 111 vs. Norfolk St.). Maybe they got their info from a bad source, but it just catches my ear every time I re-watch the game.

I really liked the announcers, especially Tom Glasgow, but they made a few mistakes. Glasgow said that the Cats rushing yards against the griz was the first time they went over 300 yards rushing since the Cal Poly game in 2018. He also called the Marshall TD run a “reverse” instead of a sweep. Those calls were errors but I liked their game overall.

Yes, hope I didn't sound too critical. I like them too. Simple mistakes to make especially when, as Choate says, they never came out to cover us much.

Glasgow’s 2018 goal line call will go down is Cat-griz history as the most memorable of all time.

Yes, that was a good call. Best TV call for sure. Right up there overall with Attebury's call on Corey Smith's KO return to start Cat-Griz 2003. Dean Alexander had some great ones. But that moment in 2018 was something else. Dean had the best voice and delivery. Attebury was/is great that way, too.

A bit of a reach… But I also got a kick out of the announcer for the playoff games calling Kevin Cassis Cashus

Yes, but that shouldn’t happen. they’re given phonetic pronunciations for all players without common names. Stuber...,Stew-burr.

I like Glasgow, Stiles not so much and Barton is an idiot.

A product of auto correct.🤓
And not wearing my new reading glasses as often as I should.
KK was one hard-working kid and definitely improved over his course of play here.

Our running backs were frequently misidentified during games. Quite a few times Lance Sumner was called Jones

Autocorrect strikes again!

And I agree, Glasgow is very good, Stiles is an ok color man, way better than Barton. That dude drives me crazy. He's like a poor man's John Madden. Except he has less experience.

This is a typical Barton analysis, its 3rd and goal from the 3 with :23 left in the 2nd quarter. Week 12 of the season and MSU is playing a linebacker at QB that I dont think has thrown a fade pass all year. QB power is probably the most successful play we have.

Skyline is always good for a laugh too.

This sentence from the 2018 stuff play.

"On the next play, Yates cemented himself in mortality."

I hope he meant immortality because "in mortality" means something completely different.
