Nice article. One minor correction: "The National Guard acquired one for reveille in the evening—the cannon fires, the flag goes down."

Reveille is sounded to signify the start of the duty day, when the flag is raised, not the end of the duty day. Retreat is sounded to signify the end of the duty day, when the flag is lowered and the national anthem is played. Taps is played to signify quiet hours.

Oh, and every photo in that article is of Air Force personnel and AF ROTC cadets. The Army folks are going to love that.

Hello AFCAT, BobcatNation,

Thanks for the feedback, as I have mentioned before good, bad or otherwise... is always welcome.

I did look, searched and asked for photos of the Canon squad, or Army ROTC members doing push-ups to no avail. Even MSU photographers did not have a single one. I am aware that the blue uniforms are Air Force attire (my son has been stationed in Japan the last three years and for 2021/22 and possibly 2023 has been transfered to Germany).

Army, Navy, Marines, Air Force and Coast Guard are all one team: The US Military Forces.

I do appreciate your time spent reading the print "Magazine" or the posted articles online. We have worked very hard to bring the best product possible to BobcatNation... 2020 has been a difficult one for all of us, I do hope better things are ahead for all of us.

Happy Holidays!

Cheers, Felix

Hello BobcatNation,

As Publisher/Photographer of the Bobcat Football Magazine, I am very proud of everyone involved with making this year’s magazine a reality. It was a great challenge due to the obvious reason—Covid-19—which limited access to photos, players and coaches (not to mention financials) to produce a quality magazine like the BFM. I went back and forth multiple times about offering the 2020 issue online only; however, the moment I decided to produce the print version I never looked back. I am very proud of my team, starting with Cynthia Logan (Editor), all the writers: Paul, Brittney, Kristen, Caleb, Vanessa, and the coaches’ wives (Janet, Shannon and Brittany). Thank you for all your hard work and dedication to make the Bobcat Football Magazine a great publication!

In a month or so we will start working on next year’s magazine. Some of the topics we are considering are: Profiles on Alex Singleton, Cody Kirk and Tom Duffy, among others. Additions include WBB and MBB. Feedback and article suggestions are welcome!

Here is a link to the last article from this year’s magazine:

Happy New Year to All—I am sure we are all looking forward to it!

Cheers, Felix
