So what the heck does that mean? Fall practice with no fall football. Is this instead of spring practice?

Spring practice moves to the previous fall and fall season moves to the next spring.

Yes, Fall camp must be now Spring practice. However, it was great to watch it today. It is always amazing to see how last year’s freshman have put on muscle and weight. Initial things that stood out is our stable of running backs and wide receivers. We are loaded. Our new QB McKay looks like the real deal. He has a quick release and passes very accurate. I think Tommy Mellot is going to be a good one. Keep an eye on him. Just a few quick observations, Jobman looks much bigger, WR Charles Brown is really fast, Hosey has filled out and looks great, Kahari Martin is a beast. It will be interesting to see what he does with a season at RB under his belt. I would hate to have to tackle him.

All in all, with all this virus stuff going on, it was great to see a typical normal football practice.

I was there today. Matt McKay looked good. Jahari Martin looks like Earl Campbell. Not much scrimmage time just some two minute stuff. Melot had some nice throws too.

Okay, knock it off. I loved Earl Campbell. Scored TDs, handed ball to ref. Walked back to the sideline. The poster for Act Like You Been There Before. He coined the phrase.

So the one thing I haven't seen, is what are the rules for practice for this canceled season? Do they count if they had practices all the way till December? Or do they have to stop first of October and pick it up in spring? And heaven forbid that other question, how many people do you carry on a team if you have no season and your 2021 class is coming in next fall?

I was referring to his physical make up. His thighs are huge. Oh, Hosey looks like he has hit the weight room too. That running back room is just unreal.

I would love it if they still played Dixie State! Likely no, but don’t kill my dream.

I mean...its a good thing. Like Troy, Isaiah has been consistently banged up based off how he runs the ball. Let them get a full year of rest and come back with a vengeance in the fall of 2021 (yeah count me in as not optimistic about the spring). Also, the way DeMareus Hosey showed up to fall camp this year (along with the rest of the stable) and how the offensive line looks, we may not miss a beat at RB.

I don't know about a good thing but I agree with everything after that first sentence.

Why would it not be a good thing? Just curious because I'm assuming you are turning on the "darkest timeline" parts of your brain i.e. Ifanse sits out then transfers for his final season.

Not that dark. Just that redshirt after your freshman year implies injury and that's never good. I have no concerns of anyone on the 2-deep depth chart transferring.

The positive aspect of it is that he should be fresh for the Fall 2021 season. Since the Spring 2021 season will likely be mess (if it ends up happening) I wouldn't mind more guys redshirting assuming they aren't actually injured. Almost like an injury prevention redshirt rather than an injury recovery redshirt.
