I was somewhat surprised with EWU making the top 25.
Didn't the entire coaching staff at EWU take a pay cut this past off season??? How will that effect the team and coaching and recruiting??

I am not upset that they made it, just a bit surprised.

If they were competing near the top of the league I think they would want to play.

I don't see any reason to believe it will be less risky to play in the spring. Also, if the lack of safety precautions is due to money it won't get better by taking away a revenue source. The only way any school is going to be in a better financial position by the spring is a federal/state bailout.

I don't think the spring football idea is really legitimate, regardless of who is proposing it (administrations, players, media). It's just a way to keep hopes up and kick the can further down the road. Once we get to February we'll see more players say they don't feel comfortable playing in the spring due to seasonal illnesses, safety measures and the upcoming fall season.
