Does that mean he can play this spring? It depends on if you have a Canadian background. Is it theater or theatre?

Honestly not shocked. I’m not confident Allen was even here, Tullis was never gonna play and Clark only came for Jeff Choate and had an opportunity to graduate, hopefully that’s the end of it.
Bummed about Reed, but that was before Choate left. I was excited about him when he committed.

Re: Roster updated
Filer was outstanding in pass coverage his lone year as an All-Big Sky corner but was a clear liability as a run defender. If he gets to play his final year closer to home, that would be cool for him.Bozcat003 wrote: ↑Mon Feb 15, 2021 2:28 pmHonestly not shocked. Bummed about Reed as well but I'm not concerned at all about our interior o-line depth for the future. Plenty of young hogs up front to step right in after Kidd, Tui, Wood, and Redd all move on.
Tullis and Allen did play in the spring game. Davine was buried on the depth chart at RB and Allen (who was #6 during the scrimmage even though the roster listed him as #11 online) played a few series and was visibly lost on nearly every rep he had. Allen could've competed but I expected more from him as a Colorado transfer.
As Bozcat003 stated, Clark was ready to roll for Choate in 2020 but was also ready to graduate. Jeff was working on convincing him to stay for Fall 2021 even before he left for Texas but it appears John will graduate and move on.
Honestly, we should expect more attrition as this spring goes on because of the coaching change (happens every time and that's okay in the long run) and the way COVID affected the eligibility for everyone to get an extra year. Rosters will be impacted across college football and many fringe guys in that sophomore to junior range will likely have to fight for a spot this spring to make the roster come fall.

Re: Roster updated
Likely elected to graduate. Started school in Fall 2016 so if he were to play in the fall, it would be his 6th year at MSU.
My two cents on Jacob's career. He was misdiagnosed as a LB/S from Day 1 and should've been developed as an outside WR. He bulked up and was good enough to be the starting SAM during Spring 2017 (this position would've eventually been taken by Troy when he came on board as a freshman in 2017) but tore his ACL that spring and his career was never the same after that. Came back and split time with Balue Chapman at SAM to start the 2018 season but he was just a step slow. Then moves to TE for 2019 season and turned the corner at the position by the end of the season (made some nice blocks in the NDSU game). Hindsight is 2020 and he had decent defensive tape as a senior at Billings Central but he was a force as a WR his junior and senior seasons for the Rams. I mean...Jacob made Troy look bad when they matched up against each other in Class A ball. Anyway, Jacob battled through his entire playing career and always looked to make the team better wherever he played. All you can really ask for. Good luck to him in his future career!

Max, Jaalen Rening, and Tommy Campbell all greyshirted last year for MSU, per Choate. Eligibility-wise they will be true freshman in 2021.PapaG wrote: ↑Thu Feb 25, 2021 4:32 pmWas wearing an MSU sweatshirt at a grocery store in Tigard a few weeks ago and the kid checking my items is good friends with Max.
