Re: MSU: Stadium plans for games
sounds like one game is in jeopardy, Gold Rush and possibly Utah depending on the PAC.
Otherwise, teams are practicing.

Yep. Been saying for months. There will be games and there will be fans. Those fearful of crowds should stay away. The rest of us should probably be ready to be really loud!

Re: MSU: Stadium plans for games
IMO the only options are either everyone gets in or no one does. You can't be selective without pissing someone off. You can't exclude the students and expect to keep them engaged in the future. You can't exclude single game ticket holders and expect to get them all to come back in the future. And if you allow just season tickets holders where do we sit. We typically sit together. We'll if we do that what advantage did you gain. If you spread us out then where is our refund. I pay extra to sit in section 111. If you move me down 2 sections those seats should cost less. It has to be all or none to make this work long term. And the sooner you decide the better. A lot of season ticket holders and single game buyers are on the fence waiting to see what happens.

What ever happened to freedom? If antifa can riot and trump can have a rally we should be all able to go to the game.

Nothing has happened to freedom, some people lack the courage to exercise it. In the exercise of our individual freedom, it is not necessary to put others down.
While registering my vehicles the assessor stated "I have had both Cat and Griz students and alums work for me and the Griz end up working under the direction of the Cats."

Re: MSU: Stadium plans for games
How much input or authority will the Bozeman county health department have in deciding weather or not fans can attend MSU football games?
The Missoula county health department shut down an American legion baseball tournament, mid tournament here in missoula yesterday for reasons at this point that are somewhat unclear.
Ultimately which government or University entities are going to be the ultimate decision makers on this ?

The State of Montana is Bobcat country.

Re: MSU: Stadium plans for games
The way COVID is currently shooting up, I'm now thinking the idea that spectators will be allowed in the games to be highly doubtful. MSU will need to consider liability issues and it may not be feasible, from my discussions with people in the (more know than I am) they're looking at a 30-40% drop in incoming and returning student body for the fall semester.
Until there is a vaccine, I'm off the mind that a close to normal season is dubious at best.

A new era of football is here, UofM no longer will be the sole power in a much stronger Big Sky. ESG GCG

And what if there is never a vaccine for this? I understand the need to be cautious but it's looking like we're going to have to live with this virus for a while. I don't see how we just shut everything down for another year or 2. It's already hurting a lot of people in other ways that don't make headlines.bozely wrote: ↑Sat Jun 20, 2020 10:23 amThe way COVID is currently shooting up, I'm now thinking the idea that spectators will be allowed in the games to be highly doubtful.
