Yes, this was an amazing interview. Choate nailed it. The interviewers nailed it. Considering it's MSU, which is so close to home and heart, it was perhaps the best interview I've ever seen.

Thanks Colter!

MSU - 15 team National Champions (most recent 2021); 57 individual National Champions (most recent 2023).

Great message, it gave me a few things to reflect on for sure.

Also, that's quite a statement about Troy's talent level. Good luck to him on his healing process.

I could listen to Choate every day, he tells it how it is, no BS, up lifting and encouraging, and to the point. Someday he'll move on to a bigger school, it will be hard not to always compare the new coach to Choate, the bar has been set high.

I’ll echo everything he said. Amazing leadership and it trickles down to the players. Awesome to see.

Yep, he does everything right across the board, and we're lucky to have him. National Championship in 2021, then Choate will move on to a bigger program. Or... he'll wait one more year and move up after Jory graduates.

Great time to be a BOBCAT!

I encourage everyone to spend 23 minutes and watch this video.

Coach understands what is important for this nation and for the young men on our team (the black kids who may have experienced discrimination and/or racism AND the white kids who may not have a frame of reference, likely due to a Montana/suburban/rural upbringing). I think our football team also has some Native kids, who can add a Montana flavor to the conversation.

Like coach said...that locker room is probably the most diverse group of people in the whole state (griz locker room, too).

Choate just gets it, and can articulate it. Great video.

I couldn't be more proud about how Leon, Waded and Coach Choate have handled this. They are all so compassionate and care so much- very refreshing.
It should be noted that hauck is a good football coach, but he has his shortcomings. Haslam and hauck not addressing this by now is a bad look- and it must infuriate Decuire. This goes to show another reason why kids are choosing Bozeman over missoula.

Yep, I agree on all parts. Coach lives diversity everyday. When you hear about players sharing testimonials about how they grew up or lived, with the team, he is educating those kids on social inequality and differences. From what i hear kids on both sides of the spectrum gain an appreciation and that is what it is all about; respect and appreciate each other. The griz are two steps behind right now and that boils down to leadership. Our coaches were on the front lines of the rally in Bozeman, on the news. That is leadership. Leadership over looting everyday.
