The smoke is making it worse. Usually it's brighter outside than inside and you don't get the reflections. Things are clearing up here in the Flathead today, hopefully that comes soon in the Gallatin Valley.Bobcat Jim wrote: ↑Wed Sep 16, 2020 12:08 pmThe camera must be inside. With the reflection of images off windows I'm guessing makes it hard to get a clear picture of the ironworkers connecting up the beams.
That’s interesting. Leon said they wouldn’t tear it down until the building was completed.norcal cat wrote: ↑Thu Sep 17, 2020 9:21 amLooks like the Bobcats locker room is being demolished this morning.
They need the room to build the retractable roof over the stadium.AFCAT wrote: ↑Thu Sep 17, 2020 9:41 amThat’s interesting. Well that was probably the plan back when there was going to be football this fall.AFCAT wrote: ↑Thu Sep 17, 2020 9:41 amThat’s interesting. Yes, it'll probably be completed to a point that they won't need the block house(s) anymore. It's about five months until the season.CelticCat wrote: ↑Thu Sep 17, 2020 10:14 amWell that was probably the plan back when there was going to be football this fall.AFCAT wrote: ↑Thu Sep 17, 2020 9:41 amThat’s interesting. I know in construction--particularly in renovations or construction around existing buildings--sequencing is a big part of planning and can make a job more difficult. This job had to take into account certain space or schedule restrictions with a regular football season happening. I'm wondering if they've been able to make any major adjustments to the timeline because they don't have to work around anything this fall. I doubt it's enough to shorten the timeline by more than a couple weeks, but I'd be curious to know.iaafan wrote: ↑Thu Sep 17, 2020 10:16 amYes, it'll probably be completed to a point that they won't need the block house(s) anymore. I was under the impression that the Block Houses would not be removed till after the season. Since the season was cancelled maybe they decided to get them out of the way now. If the plan was to remove them at this stage of the build why not do it before any construction started to get them out of the way. Seems like weird timing unless there was a change in direction do to the season being cancelled/postponed.iaafan wrote: ↑Fri Sep 18, 2020 2:11 pmIt looks like only about half the steel is in place. I imagine they might be waiting for the block house to be done (almost is now) being torn down, so they have more room to work before they put the rest in? It's a big building. Bigger than it looks in the artists renderings.
The last I heard from Costello was that the scoreboard will be replaced, possibly before next season. I have no idea if they are going to put the new scoreboard in another location or use the existing posts.
