Wait, you hate that one? I love it! Goes to show you how obsessed he is with his hatred of all things MSU. It's in his head and it affects him. Makes it all that much sweeter when the Choate & Co. beat Bobbé and the Bears....mslacatfan wrote: ↑Thu Apr 30, 2020 12:20 pmCatsrgrood wrote: ↑Thu Apr 30, 2020 11:29 amThis game is everything to them, their sole focus to beat us, maybe we should start doing that ourselves.

A one time quote is not a cliche.

Or "They" can't get untracked, talking about a team.
Also, just heard another one that bugs me as I'm watching an EWU, Idaho replay on ROOT. "Each guy just needs to do his 1\11th."

Nice one! That jogged my memory to this:

I like this one just fine, because the alternative ("pick six") makes my blood boil.

This will be my favorite for sometime. He flat out admitted that he prepared his guys all week for our linebacker to play quarterback. And when our linebacker and best player not only didn’t play quarterback, he didn’t play at all, and that was too much for them to overcome. “Griz Cat” and “Fight On”. Not really a cliche, but it deserves special consideration for the dumbest things ever uttered in sports.

Griz-Cat makes my blood boil because it just sounds so wrong (because it is). Immediately lets me know I'm dealing with an idiot.

Re: What sport cliches do you hate the most?
I agree with many of the hated clichés others have mentioned but not all of them. IMO the problem is often when a cliché is just used too frequently.
The thing I hate most involving the use of clichés is when a saying or cliché from one sport is used in a different sport. So many clichés from baseball or basketball are so sport specific that they have no business being used when talking football, and vice-versa.

At the end of the day, I couldn't come up with any chiches that stand out in a crowd. I guess you guys just wanted it more.
