Was Vim doing his ratings when Ferris was a senior in HS? Would be interesting to see where he had him ranked.Buckaroo Bonzi wrote: ↑Mon Apr 27, 2020 6:48 amBrother of Peyton Ferris MSU Girls BB . Has as good of a nose for the Football as anyone I’ve seen ~ does the dirty

Re: NFL draft
yup, I know it happens. but its crazy that a guy like that would "slip through the cracks" coming from Dillon, with both UM and MSU... did either MSU or UM offer him (I'm guessing not)?

Maybe he wanted to go to Western, had a chance to play sooner. Either way always impressive to see Frontier guys get a shot at the NFL.mslacatfan wrote: ↑Tue Apr 28, 2020 11:17 amyup, I know it happens. but its crazy that a guy like that would "slip through the cracks" coming from Dillon, with both UM and MSU... did either MSU or UM offer him (I'm guessing not)?

I'm guessing BJ is the one who recruited him to UMW?FTG247365 wrote: ↑Tue Apr 28, 2020 11:49 amMaybe he wanted to go to Western, had a chance to play sooner. Re: NFL draft
For the first time since 2000, no Big Sky Conference players were drafted. What does it say about the league, the current state of the NFL? More than you think:

Re: NFL draft
So I am not up on statistics, but how does 11 BSC signees stack up to past years? And to one other stat, someone pointed out the UFA's can make more than 7th round picks. Does that hold up to CN's scrutiny? Maybe for a 5 minute topic on next weeks show?Colter_Nuanez wrote: ↑Wed Apr 29, 2020 11:49 amFor the first time since 2000, no Big Sky Conference players were drafted. Wasn't kids getting drafted out of the FCS as a whole down a ton? Due to the cancellation of pro days getting cancelled?Colter_Nuanez wrote: ↑Wed Apr 29, 2020 11:49 amFor the first time since 2000, no Big Sky Conference players were drafted. Re: NFL draft
The exact same number of Big Sky players signed last year (11) and this year. But that's down from 25-30 in 2015, 2016, 2017. Only one player (Idaho's Kaden Ellis) was drafted last year. None this year.sdsyvie wrote: ↑Thu Apr 30, 2020 12:02 amWasn't kids getting drafted out of the FCS as a whole down a ton? Factors that we touched on in this radio segment: lack of players at Eastern Washington since Beau Baldwin left, lack of players at Southern Utah since Ed Lamb left, the fact that Portland State and Sacramento State have head coaches who are going away from transfer programs, the coaching change at NAU and the lack of players, particularly offensive linemen & defensive linemen, coming out of the Montana schools the last few years.
I also thought the scouts not being able to come talk to the coaches was detrimental. If scouts could talk to Choate and he can tell them how Sterk stacks up to other NFL picks he's coached, that helps. If Hauck can tell scouts that Dante Olson is better than linebackers who got drafted out of Montana previously, that helps too.

Any word on Konkol? I'm still blown away he didn't get a UDFA contract. I know not having a Pro Day didn't help, but the dude has the intangibles IMO.
