Wouldn't be surprised if he's Coach Choate's successor when ciach moves on to the FBS.

I miss the all whites with the cat head helmets (middle of third row). Real clean look.
The yellow gold jerseys are perfect for gold rush games.
Eastwood, did not make it. Ball out! Recovered, by Montana State!! The Bobcats hold!!! The Bobcats hold!!!

I like the white and the gold rush unis; they're my favorites. I wish they'd wear the gold rush unis more, but I get it. Personally, I'm not a fan of the gold pantaloons.coloradocat wrote: ↑Sun Dec 06, 2020 10:25 pmI miss the all whites with the cat head helmets (middle of third row). Real clean look.

The football S&C job is no longer listed and Wilcox is not listed as the head S&C coach anymore. So

Same, and I hope the California schools get invites as well, at least for football.

With the upgrades MSU is making. Waded is eyeing a move up to the Mountain West. She wants out of the FCS.

What makes you say that? Our upgrades right now are just keeping up with the other elite FCS programs.

Not to mention the fact the stadium would need to add more seating now. FBS programs must average at least 15k a year. Losing for awhile in the mountain west would make attendance drop. We would need to be average at least 20k a year before that move happens in my opinion.
Edit: Maybe this happens if the power 5 breaks off and the group of 5 is still governed by the NCAA.

Re: Off season random *^%$
Just curious, are you sure about the 15k number? I don’t believe the Cats should move up, but they already out draw at least nine FBS schools and are close in attendance (within 1k) of another eight schools.BleedingBLue wrote: ↑Tue Dec 08, 2020 6:48 pmNot to mention the fact the stadium would need to add more seating now. Heck, the griz out draw around 40 FBS programs.

I don’t have access to the Athletic, but this article starts out real interesting. There might be a number of schools that boost their numbers to reflect 15,000 so they are in compliance.AFCAT wrote: ↑Tue Dec 08, 2020 6:58 pmJust curious, are you sure about the 15k number? Don't forget, it doesn't tell you how to count attendance, paid/comp, band and staff...Cataholic wrote: ↑Tue Dec 08, 2020 7:38 pmHere is a follow up to that article. That’s interesting. Heck, the Cats juice attendance figures too. I know they didn’t average over 17k fans last season.Montanabob wrote: ↑Tue Dec 08, 2020 7:45 pmDon't forget, it doesn't tell you how to count attendance, paid/comp, band and staff...Cataholic wrote: ↑Tue Dec 08, 2020 7:38 pmHere is a follow up to that article. Re: Off season random *^%$
Yeah I'm guessing quite a few teams boost their numbers. I know years ago your stadium had to seat 30K as well but that went away at some point. The 15k thing is also every 2 years, so a team could dip below for a year as long as they come back up the next year.AFCAT wrote: ↑Tue Dec 08, 2020 7:55 pmThat’s interesting.
