Re: 2021 recruiting
The new staff sure seems to be looking in some different areas for talent from what we've become used to.

Re: 2021 recruiting
I would think an Unofficial visit, seeing that he doesn't have an offer...yet.

Re: 2021 recruiting
Speaking of small sample size.....welcome to Bobcat Nation. I look forward to some positive posts.ECBobcat wrote: ↑Thu Jun 03, 2021 3:25 pmSmall sample size so far, but these guys don’t appear to be great recruiters. Banks couldn’t even close the deal on a guy he coached at Nevada!gtapp wrote: ↑Thu Jun 03, 2021 3:04 pmWe made an offer to Kieran Clark but that was the one we lost to NAU. Not seeing any other CB offers (transfers). Several D line offers with one being accepted.Montanabob wrote: ↑Thu Jun 03, 2021 2:24 pmWell we did primarily use him like a running back and didn't get much opportunity.
Just looked at our WR Roster and it sort of looks like the Griz's used to. About 14 Wide Receivers and 10 Tight Ends!!!
22% of the locker room Someone is probably going to leave or change positions.
We really could use a few good corner's right now and some D Line.

Re: 2021 recruiting
He was a juco graduate and just enrolled this June in Nevada. And he's already in the transfer pool?

Good grief! My sister-in-law worked there. It’s a very nice school, but in a dead-end town. They are usually good in their league, but it’s nothing like D-1 football. Were we really recruiting him?AFCAT wrote: ↑Sat Jun 05, 2021 9:02 amCommitted to a Iowa Central

I think they are a juco. The kid had 10+ offers to multiple schools - both FBS and FCS. Grades seemed okay. Maybe a casualty of the Covid era.Bobcat4Ever wrote: ↑Sun Jun 06, 2021 6:26 pmGood grief! Re: 2021 recruiting
Could be a whole bunch of reasons. He might have been waiting for a better FBS offer and didn’t pull the trigger when he should have and lost those earlier opportunities. He might have had something happen in his life that kept him from going too far from home. He might want to go JUCO and then hope for an offer from his dream school after a year. Who knows.Cataholic wrote: ↑Sun Jun 06, 2021 9:57 pmI think they are a juco. The kid had 10+ offers to multiple schools - both FBS and FCS. Grades seemed okay. Absolutely. His senior season was also cancelled due to Covid.AFCAT wrote: ↑Mon Jun 07, 2021 9:31 amCould be a whole bunch of reasons. Re: 2021 recruiting
Why can't get a transferring Defensive lineman to commit?

Re: 2021 recruiting
If they are good they have a lot of options. Hard to find GOOD defensive Lineman, especially interior Defensive Linemen.. The 4 Choate found ( I am including Clark in that total) were all from UW and he knew them and they knew him so we had an advantage. When was the last really great interior defensive lineman we had at MSU (Minter?). Every BSC conference school is looking to upgrade that position.Montanabob wrote: ↑Thu Jun 10, 2021 4:25 pmWhy can't get a transferring Defensive lineman to commit?
