And I saw an article somewhere that Lyles had it narrowed down to Jackson State and NC State before committing to primetime.

Summer workouts have started. I hope we hear something soon on transfers.

So I guess with all these offers, someone else is leaving? Hurry up and get to summer ball and let's get the roster updated!

Forgive my negativity, but the new staff appears deficient in recruiting. Combine that with an apparent inability to retain existing players and recruits and, well, things are not looking good.

Re: 2021 recruiting
There was an entire class worth of players that retained an extra year of eligibility due to Covid. I would expect a decent amount of players leaving. It has to pencil out.Montanabob wrote: ↑Wed Jun 02, 2021 11:52 amSo I guess with all these offers, someone else is leaving? Hurry up and get to summer ball and let's get the roster updated!

Re: 2021 recruiting
When it comes to recruits (transfers included) it would seem like MSU has many distinct advantages. High quality school offering relevant degrees. Beautiful area that gets a lot of national press. Nice stadium. One of the top FCS schools for game attendance. Successful program and now a state of the art new facility. Yet we lose recruits to many Big Sky Conf schools. I can see UM but NAU? EWU? SUU?

Depends on your definition of losing, I guess. We didn’t lose the transfers to ISU.gtapp wrote: ↑Thu Jun 03, 2021 9:23 amWhen it comes to recruits (transfers included) it would seem like MSU has many distinct advantages. Sometimes local players want to play for local teams. Easier for family to visit. EWU has had better national success than us the past decade, and they’re close to a decent sized city, that matters a lot. I can’t think of anybody we’ve lost to NAU or SUU.

Tyronne Marshall
While registering my vehicles the assessor stated "I have had both Cat and Griz students and alums work for me and the Griz end up working under the direction of the Cats."

Re: 2021 recruiting
Well we did primarily use him like a running back and didn't get much opportunity.
Just looked at our WR Roster and it sort of looks like the Griz's used to. About 14 Wide Receivers and 10 Tight Ends!!!
22% of the locker room Someone is probably going to leave or change positions.
We really could use a few good corner's right now and some D Line.

We made an offer to Kieran Clark but that was the one we lost to NAU. Not seeing any other CB offers (transfers). Several D line offers with one being accepted.Montanabob wrote: ↑Thu Jun 03, 2021 2:24 pmWell we did primarily use him like a running back and didn't get much opportunity.

Small sample size so far, but these guys don’t appear to be great recruiters. Banks couldn’t even close the deal on a guy he coached at Nevada!gtapp wrote: ↑Thu Jun 03, 2021 3:04 pmWe made an offer to Kieran Clark but that was the one we lost to NAU. Re: 2021 recruiting
I don’t know anything about Clark, but there’s no way of knowing whether there was still an acceptable offer for him at MSU when he committed to NAU.gtapp wrote: ↑Thu Jun 03, 2021 3:04 pmWe made an offer to Kieran Clark but that was the one we lost to NAU. Time will will, but Clark is from Arizona so he may want to play in front of his family there.ECBobcat wrote: ↑Thu Jun 03, 2021 3:25 pmSmall sample size so far, but these guys don’t appear to be great recruiters.
