I know the Cats have signed players just weeks before Fall camp in the past, but what is the latest date a player has signed and gone on to play in the Fall? Just curious since Summer workouts have been going on for a while now and Fall camp is only about a month or so away.

Now you have me second guessing myself….but I’m pretty sure. Haha.

Looks like they transferred 8/23. I’d guess our Colorado game was shortly after that. So I was off a bit.

It is always possible but the window is closing fast. Not sure who is left that we would want. What was the total? 2? The DL transfer and the WR transfer from Utah?

I think Vega and Alston may be two of the three since they don’t have a lot of other offers and no FBS offers. The other known defensive players that have offers from MSU also have offers from FBS programs. Xavier Mitchell just committed to FCS Maine. Curious who the three commits could be.

Tre Webb being a standout strong safety is huge for the secondary because it basically means Ty Okada can be a chess piece depending on the situation with Jeffrey Manning at the free safety spot. MSU used three safeties a bunch in 2019 with Alleyne, Konkol, and Henderson. Ty can come up and play more nickel which also means they don't have to play Tyrel as much on the inside. Webb opens up a lot for the defense.
