Just seems as we aren't seeing more news on recruiting since the new coach. Always seemed like there was something going on with potentials?

Re: 2021 recruiting
It's April.....Also, our players didn't lose any eligibility this year. Also, I'm not sure if they NCAA has cleared anything for travel home/campus visits, so I'm not sure there's much serious recruiting that can be done.GrizgradCatFan wrote: ↑Wed Apr 14, 2021 11:23 amJust seems as we aren't seeing more news on recruiting since the new coach. Re: 2021 recruiting
In addition to focusing on getting the team up to speed on the new systems the recruiting dead period is still in effect until at least June 1. That doesn't preclude recruiting but it does hamper it. I would assume recruiting will pick up once spring ball is over as that will also line up with the school year wrapping up allowing more recruits to visit (as prospective students, not officially as athletes).wbtfg wrote: ↑Wed Apr 14, 2021 11:26 amIt's April.....Also, our players didn't lose any eligibility this year. Now that the Sonny Holland game is over, Spring ball complete, I wonder if we see any movement in the transfer portal?

I think that's a definite, both current Bobcat players into the portal and new Bobcats coming from the portal.Common Cat wrote: ↑Sun Apr 25, 2021 9:59 amNow that the Sonny Holland game is over, Spring ball complete, I wonder if we see any movement in the transfer portal?

Re: 2021 recruiting
Without a doubt. I also wouldn’t be surprised to see some movement in the coaching staff as well. That’s just part of the college football business these days. Lots of movement.AFCAT wrote: ↑Sun Apr 25, 2021 11:41 amI think that's a definite, both current Bobcat players into the portal and new Bobcats coming from the portal.Common Cat wrote: ↑Sun Apr 25, 2021 9:59 amNow that the Sonny Holland game is over, Spring ball complete, I wonder if we see any movement in the transfer portal?

Re: 2021 recruiting
WR with 4 years of eligibility left, looks like he walked-on at Utah. My initial thought was maybe we want him to at CB but doesn't looked he played the position much if at all in high school. I don't see any other offers on his Twitter timeline yet.

Yeah, I looked at some of his high lights. He looks like he has good hands and decent speed, but nothing really stood out to me.

Re: 2021 recruiting
He tagged Udy in his tweet, so I assume WR.
He played for Mater Dei in the Trinity League, which is one of the best HS football leagues in the country. Sounds like he initially had offers from UNLV, Cal Poly and Columbia. Offers were pulled shortly before signing day, as those schools had other commits fill those spots. Ended up walking on at Utah, where he played a bit as a true frosh.
Sounds like a hard worker, a bright kid, and a very good locker room guy. In addition to that, I feel like he could by a Kevin Kassis type of player.
Also, maybe this is a package deal and he's bringing his HS QB with him.

The one he played with his senior year. The kid looks pretty solid.Montanabob wrote: ↑Wed May 05, 2021 7:15 pmYou mean the freshman that already has pac 12 offers? Or another QBwbtfg wrote: ↑Wed May 05, 2021 12:33 pmHe tagged Udy in his tweet, so I assume WR.

Decent chance of landing Clark. Wyoming was recruiting him, so he’s familiar with Vigen. Ran a 10.85 100m in high school. 247 2-star.
