Some of the players started following this coach on Twitter. Bio says Montana State Offensive assistant. Think this is more of an intern hire than full time coordinator
Looks like a grad assistant or intern.

Interesting factoid, google tells me he has a younger brother who is a Frosh qb at SJSU who we offered him out of hs.

Simply looks like he’s going to be an assistant coach of some nature. Simply that. Rest assured, Coach Choate will let us know once the dust settles.

My wife teases me about my man crush on Choate.

Some people are a lot like slinkies....... Not really good for much, but it puts a smile on your face to watch them fall down a set of stairs.

You may have asked too much. 😂🤣😂.

One of the reasons I come to BN is to mine all the bobcat knowledge that is provided by the posters on site. I didn’t know I was cheating. 😂🤣😂

Coach Choate is sure making us earn this one! I hope we can maybe find a coordinator that would have a good young assistant to come with him and they could cover the rb's and qb's while being on the same page offensively. It would give us a little continuity. I check everyday, but so far nothing.

I don’t see it mentioned anywhere but Jimmy Beal is your new RBs coach. Played at MSU back in the day. Then was RBs coach at NAU and most recently at SDSU. One of the brightest minds in the game. Cats are lucky to have him back as a coach.

Wow. That’s a big pickup. He was at SDSU this past season, right?

Being an MSU grad, I only read the first sentence. Haha.

I assume he’ll be picking up a coordinator position as well. I’d guess either special teams or recruiting coordinator.
