Attendance at Bobcat Stadium and in Big Sky

Post by aucat » Sun Dec 22, 2019 12:16 pm

I just read an interesting article on declining attendance at college football games. The SEC, for example, had their lowest average attendance since 2001. This despite the SEC allowing the sale of alcohol for this past season at most stadiums.

Overall, I have been pleased with the attendance this year at Bobcat Stadium. I wonder what the final figures were and how it compares to the past several seasons? Also, what about the other teams in the Big Sky? How are they doing?

I am excited about the future given the progress in our success on the field as well as improving facilities.

I know some folks prefer to take the easy route and just watch the games on TV, but to me, the home games are an experience.

We have a great tailgate. In fact, we got our whole tailgate crew yesterday for a watch party.

Regarding the alcohol in stadiums things, both Cal Poly and UC Davis had in-stadium beer sales this season. So that trend must be expanding.
