2019 Redshirts

Post by AgentL » Wed Dec 18, 2019 7:07 pm

New to forum so please don’t crucify me... MSU Alumni and former student athlete and professional Bobcat Nation lurker.

My question is, being today marks the early signing period, who do you think from last years recruits who redshirted this season make an impact next year? I know a handful played this year, but who amongst that group will stand tall and rattle the Big Sky?

I agree, but I wouldn't say that's a dark horse pick. If Choate didn't want to RS him he would have been #2 behind Jones while Ifanse was out this year.

I also wouldn’t be surprised to see Holden Sampson get some minutes on the O-line next year. Hosey, Lonergan Martin and Marshal should all see time next year.

Does the program still announce the Scout team players of the week?

O-line may be a pretty hard position to get on the field next year. Out of the 7 guys who have gotten significant playing time, 6 will be back.

Sampson travelled with the team for a few games as an emergency back up this year.

Sorry, I meant Lonergan. I get those two mixed up.
