Yeah who's the clown that was calling for Kane's head early in the season? I think Kane has more than earned a lot of respect this year.

Don't let this distract you from the fact that the griz blew a 22-0 lead.

This defense as a whole has stepped up, the last half of the season, I've been blown away how our guys play, not a weak spot. Tonight these guys played unbelievable! Go Cats!

Really impressive with some of the situations they were put in. The refs were super inconsistent and could have stole momentum several times but they just kept plugging away.

They successfully shut the offense down for the entire second quarter plus the tail end of the first. But no matter how many chances Peay's offense got, the defense wasn't letting up.

We are by no means a “ vanilla “ defense. Shifts, blitzes, 3 fronts, 4 fronts, zone coverage, man coverage... confuses the offense. Al Groh commented on TV several time on the complexity and design of our defense. Impressive!!!

Yeah, the criticism of Ioane that he was "just like Marshall" was always moronic. Even if you weren't pleased with the quality of his coaching at midseason and saw no hope for improvement (which I always disagreed with, but whatever), he clearly has a different, more adaptable, and frankly superior philosophy compared to Marshall.

I think we can all agree that this is the second time in Kane’s life he’s made the cat defense elite. First as a player and now as a coach. I’m also glad that McGhee gets to be here for this. He was so close as a player.

I will admit, after the Sac State and UND (which I didn’t see any of) I really felt like our defense wasn’t what we expected it to be. Since the UND game, I think this whole team is playing amazing. I keep going back to Choate talking about how these kids are playing as a team and that it isn’t just about one or two guys, but everyone doing their part.

You have to love the aggressive nature of this defense. No bend don’t break Peay. Blitzes came from virtually everywhere. I was sure one came from the sideline.

Absolutely great coaching by all defensive coaches and players.

👏👏👏👏😁😁😁

Speaking of Jamie Marshall, he left his position at Lindenwood to become a high school head coach. Lindenwood’s first year after his departure made the Div II playoffs.

There were definitely two blitzes from the sidelines on passing downs. One kid was swinging a Gatorade cooler attached to a rope above his head. Pretty disruptive. I think he was in on a sack with Bryce.

Yup.

It feels like there are extra men on the field when you're aggressive and playing fast.

AP OC was always counting. He couldn’t believe there were only 11.

😂🤣😂
