@BethanyCordell, that was one of the all time greatest game day atmospheres I’ve ever experienced. Thanks to you and your crew for kicking ass.
This can not be stated enough. The job they do every game day is as elite as our defense. No one touches us.

Let’s do it one more time!

Too funny! I can barely talk this morning from yelling so much last night. Been sucking on cough drops all morning, with a permanent grin on my face!

Me too! Fans should be as proud as the players and coaches. Place was electric. I stand right behind the opponents bench and those kids were loving it too.

I’d literally give anything to get one more game at home!

Again, I was so proud watching our team and looking at that stadium last night! Place looked and sounded completely electric, I was dying not able to be there in person. What an amazing job by the entire team of people at MSU to put this on, and the leadership of Bethany, well, we are as lucky to have her as we are Coach Choate. This is special, folks, and it’s just getting better!

On another note, I’m wondering if there is a little “under-reporting game” going on with attendance so that MSU can make a little money from this game? Wouldn’t bother me in the least, keep the NCAA’s slimy hands away from it.

MSU must count every other person in the playoffs cause the difference between cat griz and this was not 6k or 7k.
Yeah, seriously. The far NE corner section was maybe half full. SW endzone section 124 was maybe 75%. I couldn't see the back of most of the endzone, too many people in the way. Other than that, not a seat empty. No way it was just 14k.

I'm watching the replay now. Even louder than I thought at the game.

I missed exactly 0 home games from 2003-2011. Now that I don’t live there anymore it pains me to not be apart of that environment! Love hearing that raucous crowd on TV!

Having thought about the last 3 games, the crowd has been standing almost the entire game. It has been electric.

8,741 for JMU/UNI

14,071 for Montana St/Austin Peay

6,422 for Weber St/Montana

In other words MSU almost outdrew the other two playoff games yesterday combined. Dont ever want to hear an MSU fan say they're disappointed in playoff attendance.

I was at the game and I only expected around 10k to show up. I was pleasantly shocked by the attendance and how into the game everyone was. That place was loud and rocking all game long. I could also tell that quite a few people weren’t regular attendees of Cat games. That was cool to see too.

On another note - can we brainstorm ideas for how we can get more fans into the stands for this game? It’s a very tough uphill battle with a lot of the students being gone, and it’s fair to say that most of them will already have travel plans in place for when finals are done, and probably can’t/won’t rearrange those plans for a football game. Hope I’m wrong, but unlikely.

So... ideas? We could definitely offer something to families that come in for graduation the next day. How about tickets that would be donated for students can be used by high school students?
Dorm competition for student attendance. With 15,000 students, no reason not to 5000 or more at the games.

Oh, other than it was Friday of finals week and the overwhelming majority of campus was already gone for Christmas.

I walked into the stadium 20 minutes before kickoff and thought, "O no, we have a poor turnout." But the place really filled in and
by kickoff it had the appearance of being packed, other than a little section in the upper left of the East stands. ANd it wasn't just
the number of fans, it was the constant roar. The electricity, the cheers. I usually don't like people in front of me to stand up,
but hey, it felt GOOD to stand up. It was a cold night and was fun to stand and jump around.

Really, really proud of the Bobcat Nation!

I have never sat in the section where I expected to sit at all during the game. Maybe a few breaks are in between quarters but other than that I stand the whole time.

The crowd was either really evenly distributed or those numbers are a little lower than what we actually had.
