The defense played an awesome game today as a unit, but I have to highlight Konkol. He had an amazing game and repped the 41st state incredibly well.

Aside from the INT, which was a dagger, he had at least two PBU's in perfect coverage, getting a hand on the ball both times. His tackling was strong as always.

Seems to me that he always saves his best for the Brawl, and that's going to be missed. Game ball!*

*The robertogato game ball is a coveted and meaningless award given by me on the internet.

When they started that drive, I was thinking they had to start going deep so the safeties better be ready.

Oh, he got a lot of revenge. Konkol is from a great, colorful family. God bless ‘em!

Hopefully Griz fans learned their lesson, because he’s the last dude you want to pitch s—t at. There’s more to having him be the first player to wear 41 as a legacy number than meets the eye.

After he broke up the pass in the end zone to JLM, in the second quarter no less, he started jawing at him and when JLM turned around Konkol held up four fingers in his face.

After saying how great it was to go 4-0, he also said it was just as great knowing their seniors went 0-4.

I’m told he had some choice words for Hauck as he left the presser. And later said something to the effect, ‘like Bobby says, I wish we had five quarters, so we could beat them some more.’

I also thing he, when asked when he knew it was going to be a beatdown, was the one that said something to the effect of, last Sunday I mean last Saturday right after the UCD game.

Quite different personalities, but both great warriors, leaders, and teammates! I have really enjoyed watching both of these two young men from Belgrade.

My son and his friends played against them both throughout high school, and are classmates at MSU. Talking with them they hated Brayden on the field, but have found out he's a pretty good guy off the field, Derek is a great guy both off and on the field

When I was in high school, we called it the "Kramer Death Stare," after you know who. Mike Kramer was one of our coaches. Yes, I have the honor of being punched in the facemask by Mike Kramer.
