In the Coaches Poll all 26 coaches voted NDSU, JM and um 1-2-3. Looks like the Cats will need to beat um to get a seed as all of the teams ranked above the Cats appear to have games they should win.

Winner of Cat-Griz gets a bye. Griz may still get one even with a close loss.

Since UM won last weekend, it makes for a good situation for MSU. A win would jump MSU ahead of both Weber and UM. SAC isn’t a lock vs rival Davis.

So a Bobcat win and SAC loss puts MSU in as top seeded team from the BSC. Had UM lost to Weber that wouldn’t be possible.

MSU - 15 team National Champions (most recent 2021); 57 individual National Champions (most recent 2023).

I am not all that confident that if we get a close win over the griz we get a higher seed than they do. Lots of teams are ranked higher than teams that have beat them and since nationally everyone seems to love the griz I wouldn't be surprised, if we win close, to see them drop a couple and for us to move up a couple and we still don't get the better seed.

I try not to be a pessimist but sometimes I just can't help it.

You're going to have to try very hard, and frankly I don't think you can do it, because you're incredibly pessimistic.

Seeds are determined by the top 25 rankings, so I would think a win by the cats puts us as a higher seed

Seeds are determined by the selection committee (did they release a top ten this week?) not by the polls
