DeNarius McGhee

Post by 95bcfb » Tue Nov 12, 2019 1:06 pm

I thought that DeNarius deserves a shout out for and outstanding job coaching. His guys have done an outstanding job over the last two year that he has coached the RB's. Last year many thought that we would take a step backwards with no proven RB and we never skipped a beat. This year the RB have been riddled with injuries and although we miss those guys we still have performed very well without our starters. I know that a lot of credit is due the OL and this isn't meant as a dish on them but I haven't heard much mentioned regarding McGhee and so I thought I would give a shout out to him. He is an outstanding person and is doing an outstanding job.

I hear he is in line for a power 5 job. Might take Choate with him.

He's doing a fantastic job and I might add the staff has excelled in this area from a recruiting standpoint. Imperative I know if you're going to be run-first, but we've recruited a ton of talent at this position.

I agree too, and it sounds like his biggest impact is from a recruiting standpoint. I've heard Choate talk about it several times, that the amount of work he puts in, the passion he has, and his love for MSU is incredibly impactful to these kids. He has the first-hand experience that you can't duplicate and it's showing up already in the depth of this team.

McGhee is doing a great job. Unsung.

Give him a glass of water and he’ll turn it into a lake and go waterskiing on it.

Yeah, this year, the Cats are averaging (as of Nov 9)
5.9 yards per carry
257.5 yards per game
With 3 rushing TD's a game
DeNarius McGhee and his RB's are BEASTS!
Excellent numbers. Congrats to McGhee. He’s a winner.

Even when he was playing, I remember watching his interview's and seeing his demeanor, excitement and passion. I could him walking into a resthome and talking guys in wheels chairs into playing, just that much conviction and belief. Love having him @ MSU.
