I can appreciate this prediction. You're going to only allow 13 when you're giving up 37 per game. Difference of 24.
Keep in mind that No. Colorado is a different team at home. It isn’t just MSU they give fits to. They’ve only played three home games and they’re 1-2 in those games with both losses coming by just 8 points. They average 20 points on offense at home and give up 25. So 21-13 is just one more point on offense and 12 less on defense. That’s just 13 points, which is a lot better than 43.ilovethecats wrote: ↑Thu Nov 07, 2019 9:45 amI can appreciate this prediction. Cats are only going to score 13 while averaging 32. Difference of 19.
So if you get the 43 points differential you need to win this game, I'll be the first to say you deserve to win it! That'd be an amazing feat.
I won't like it but will appreciate the fact that we witnessed something amazing.
That's fair. But they played 2 terrible teams and one mediocre team at home too if we're splitting hairs.iaafan wrote: ↑Thu Nov 07, 2019 9:56 amKeep in mind that No. Colorado is a different team at home. This is the kind of math I like. Say they will win by 20-23 and then pick them to win by 28. And I like your optimism.ilovethecats wrote: ↑Wed Nov 06, 2019 10:30 am
I like the Cats by about 20-23+ in the one. I'll say Cats 45, Bears 17
That's why I put 20-23+ there. Wouldn't be surprised if we only win by that much but I think it'll be more.Long Time Cat wrote: ↑Thu Nov 07, 2019 1:48 pmThis is the kind of math I like. The Cats struggle on the road, UNC is good at home, but this time it doesn't matter. Trends are made to be broken.
Cats 48- UNCU 13
I think sports can be scary because sometimes the difference between two programs isn't athleticism or talent. Sometimes bad teams have great athletes and they can't put it together or they don't play hard every snap. But then they get motivated to play a good team and show out against guys they know they're as good as individually. A couple things break their way and boom, they've made the upset of the year. I think Northern Colorado is always this way. They usually have a few guys that make you go "how is this team so bad?"ilovethecats wrote: ↑Thu Nov 07, 2019 2:08 pmThat's why I put 20-23+ there. Without trying to come across as an ass....I honestly am having a hard time finding what position or area that UNC will have an advantage against us?
Aside from the advantage they have because we have to "bring our own energy", we're playing on "natural grass" and we have "struggled there in previous seasons with completely different players"...
I would have thought the Sac State game would have done that. Hopefully you're right though, and it took two losses in a row to start that fire.aucat wrote: ↑Thu Nov 07, 2019 7:19 pmI think the UND game really set a fire under this team that is not going out.
I look for a very strong effort on both sides of the ball.
You never know about scores--so much depends on turnovers, sometimes luck.
But I think we will control the game from start to finish. Cats 31 UNC 14
Hoping 2019 turns out like last year....lost to a better Weber State team in a hard fought contest....lost to Idaho State in a game we should have won....then on to a 3 game streak to end the season. Could history repeat itself?catatac wrote: ↑Thu Nov 07, 2019 11:25 pmI would have thought the Sac State game would have done that. The players have always had the fire. The coaches, by Choate’s own admission, didn’t.catatac wrote: ↑Thu Nov 07, 2019 11:25 pmI would have thought the Sac State game would have done that.
