Was this a test?

This is probably a huge stretch, but I wonder if this game was a test for Rovig. From reading the interview of him last week in the BDC, and seeing today how he was given "control" of the game more than in the past, I wonder if Choate wanted to see if he could be "the man" the leader of the Cats offense? As other posters have mentioned in other posts, Rovig handled the ball more than in other games. But the other curious thing is the delay penalties, why didn't Choate jump on those? Was he waiting to see if Rovig could handle game management? I don't know, like others I'm seeking some answers to why we performed so very badly today.
