PUNT RETURN

Post by 94VegasCat » Sat Oct 26, 2019 8:16 pm

If we field the last und punt, we’re celebrating a win.

I was in college when Tesch was a return guy. He’d always tell me that ‘you set your heals on the 11, if you take a step back to field the punt that you let it go’.

TV coverage wasn’t good enough for me to tell where the ball hit, but why couldn’t we get in position to catch it? Honestly asking cuz I couldn’t tell.

This was the story we were talking about at our house. Thought it landed around the 18, think the return guy was around the 20-25

This one played into costing us the game, but it wasn't the only poor one. Earlier in the game, i think the 2nd Q, alleyne had a load of time and space and timidly didnt go for it, costing us at least 20 yards with no return, but it seemed he would have gotten some.

Just a lot of timid play

I have noticed that for about 5 games straight, Padmos is in the middle of a negative play. He was looking like an all American until he dropped that punt snap against NAU. Since then he hasn't been as dynamic as he was before. Why didn't he use the roll punt against UND?

We haven't been dominated mostly because of our defense, but if we play close games we cannot make the BLUNDERS we have made in the last 5 games. A lot have been on ST, but the offense is coming in a close 2nd.

Helcat, I think they are talking about the play where JA let the punt go to the goal line and not catch it in the 4th qtr.

It was kassis I wasn’t it? He doesn’t catch a lot of punts. Dropped the slant to extend a drive too....like him but those 2 plays were big. Have to catch both

I know who didn’t field it. He does it too often!
