Just seeing if anyone has stats for Anderson for his 40 time, etc???? It's been a topic several people have asked me about, and i'm wondering if someone on here might know?

His best 100M time in high school was 10.88 so that equates to somewhere in the 4.45-4.50 range. He's fast.

What crazy is that's about what Adam Cordeiro ran in HS, he was a specimen, even before they packed 60lbs on him.

I wonder about TA's 40 time, he strikes me as a guy who's got long speed, where it takes him a few strides to get REALLY going. Obviously he's pretty fast in short distances, but he seems to separate after a few yards. Sometimes those guys don't have the best 40 times. But I wouldn't put anything past him. Next thing somebody's gonna tell me he's a scratch golfer, a concert pianist, and is working in his spare time on a cure for cancer.

Has has an extra gear when he puts his foot in the ground as well. Quick twitch for sure so I think his 40 time would be 4.4 to 4.5.

I watched a pretty interesting video on the YouTube about Usain Bolt. He hits his top speed quickly, but he separates from the field because he can maintain his top speed for a longer period of time. I'd imagine with Andersen it's the same.

Anderson gets to that top speed quicker than any back I have seen at MSU. I think that is what makes him so effective.

Also I think Troy's strength gives him "Football Speed" When padded up his stride length and stride frequency don't
change much from Track speed. I'd imagine with Bolt it would be similar.

He's got such a unique, cool running style. You'd recognize him in any uniform. He kind of hucks his shoulders up and leans his head forward and down to his shoulders. Other players like that, that I can think of are Randy Moss, who's head would seem to fall back on his shoulders, OJ had a similar shoulder thing to Troy, Eric Dickerson's shoulders would go back and he'd seem real upright.

I actually made some of those comparisons after the first time I saw him run the ball in a scrimmage. Some people mocked me for that. They ain't been comin' 'round too much lately.

10.6 in the 100 meters.

First time I saw TA in action was his junior year at the State A track meet in Bozeman. I had never heard of him. In the 100 meters final he just exploded out of the blocks and at the 50M mark he had a big lead and it was obvious no one was going to catch him. So here he comes down the stretch, the lead growing with each stride, and in complete awe, I said to the guy next to me, Who the hell is that? It was like a man against boys. He was physically bigger and he was way taller than the little guys he was streaking away from. I was used to skinny 17 year olds, not boys in mature bodies who could run like that. That's Troy Andersen, I was told. I said, Where's he going next year. The answer: back to Dillon, he's only a junior. I was stunned. He was already a physical specimen. I thought the piece in the 2018 Bobcat Football Magazine painted a pretty clear picture of what kind of a human being he is. He's a great Bobcat, no doubt.

Tony Boddie was faster to his top end and maybe/likely as fast at top end. He wasn't as big however.

Troy is very young for his grade, when he graduated from High School age wise he should've been only a JR. Point being, even though he's a JR he is still young and most likely not done maturing, hence getting bigger, faster, stronger!
