WIU will be playing their home opener and are desperate for a win, so I think they'll be able to keep the game competitive - especially if MSU doesn't clean up the special teams mistakes and costly penalties that hurt them last week. But MSU is clearly the more talented team and that should win out in the end.

I agree with you. This is a dangerous game being their home opener and starting 0-2. They're going to give us their best shot. I still think the Cats win but not in a complete blowout. I think the offense slows down a bit from last week, but the defense will dominate.

After listening to Choate yesterday talking about the travel and how they view this game, I don't love it as much as I did prior. However, I think we're better than they are. This game will be harder than we'd like it to be. Win it, and the opportunity exists with our schedule to get on a huge run the next 6 or 7 games.

It will be a 20-14 type game at half, then the Cats depth in the trenches will drag WIU into deep water in the second half.

Traveling to UM and taking down the Griz is never easy, even when they don't have a great team. We've done it twice, and with teams that frankly weren't all that great.

Interesting. Handicappers are more often than not pretty accurate. I predicted more of a blow out and should change my prediction (but I won't; I'll leave it). I still think the Cats win, but I'll defer to the line for getting a better feel of how the game should play out.

In the beginning of the season, Massey had the Cats' chance of winning around 38% or so. Now, after how the season has shaken out so far he has us as at a 57% chance of winning. Still pretty much a coin flip.

I think our O-line will grind them and our D-line will f--k them up.

I think they were way off on several Big Sky games last weekend, for sure on the MSU and UM games.

I agreed that Vegas isn't completely up to speed. They were way off last week also.

Week 1 N Alabama defeats WIU 26-17. Looking at the boxscore I'm surprised WIU score at all. They scored 1 offense touchdown and 1 by a blocked punt, otherwise the score would have been uglier. WIU managed 18/30 for 183 yards and 1 pick. They managed only 119 yds on the ground from 7 players top rush hit 38 yds on 10 carries, 0 tds. The griz lit N Alabama up on the ground with their inferior O line to a tune of 234 yds and 5TDs...

Week 2 versus a mediocre FBS team Colorado State they lost 38-13. Almost all of Colorado States Tds, 4 passing and 1 rushing, were big plays. CSU had 2 passing plays of 75yds+ for TDs. N. Alabama also had a 75yd TD pass, looks like we could exploit that if Bauman can hit the recievers.

I'm going with a breakout game for Bauman 200yds and 2 TDs.
Between Troy, Logan and Hosley 2 more rushing TDs and a pick 6 for JA.

Care to predict how many fans will attend the game? Last year's maximum/minimum attendance was 5,822/2,709. The place claims to hold 17,128. Tough atmosphere after Gold Rush. I'll be glad to listen to this one on the radio.
