YOU LIKE THAT?! YOU LIKE THAT?!
But it could be worse. You could have traded up to take a QB, but not Mahomes, not Deshaun Watson...but Mitchell friggin Trubisky. He's so bad, I hate it.

I'm voting for Daniel Hardy and Chase Benson today. Hardy is going to be really good when it's all said and done and he played well today. I'd like to see him and TA on the field together at times. Lots of speed in that package.

Shane Perry and Lane Sumner both over 100 rushing today. Coy Steel with 2 TDs.
Who would have predicted that?

Going with the Oline, they made some holes and gave Rovig time to make throws. D-line is a close second, that includes the includes the guys who rotate. As the season progresses while see better teams, but as whole, damn impressive.

Re: Unsung Heroes
Some seriously out of the blue performances today!
JoJo Henderson
Travis Jonsen
JoJo would start for a lot of teams but due to our depth, an injury and development of our linebackers, he has carved out a role as the best backup safety in the conference.
Something clicked for Travis today in the receiving game. I think Tucker put some balls on him that he had to catch, then, he connected on an actual completion(over 18”)
and had no less than three plays that appeared to be one step from gone. Glad to see some stuff coming together for him after all he’s been through.

One thing i noticed about these young RB's is that they kept their legs pumping and didn't quit until down (as if they had taken lessons from Ifanse) - very impressive! Actually, the whole offense simply caught on fire as Tucker came out throwing darts, The line was created holes, the RB's were patient and able to see the holes, receivers catching most everything, and Rovig executing to a 78% completion percentage, and the OC kept things mixed up well.Buckaroo Bonzi wrote: ↑Sat Sep 21, 2019 9:04 pmTucker was the # 2 and the # 3 and 4 Running backs Wow got some serious next man up going on , throw in Coy Steel !

Kudos to Choate and Matt Miller for making a tough call and going with Tucker. He definitely looked the part today.

I sit a few rows behind our bench , one thing I noticed, is our boys are built pretty much across all positions ~ one thingcodecat wrote: ↑Sat Sep 21, 2019 9:29 pmOne thing i noticed about these young RB's is that they kept their legs pumping and didn't quit until down (as if they had taken lessons from Ifanse) - very impressive! Coach said when he first got here was he was surprised at the lack of lower body strength team wise - well not any more .
That is really showing up all over the field !

Re: Unsung Heroes
Amandre Williams (made plays that didn’t show up on stat sheet)
Daniel Hardy
Chase Benson (had another highlight reel bull rush)
OL (MSU only had two plays of negative yardage. -1 by true frosh RB and on a muffed snap).
Coy Steel
Shane Perry
Lane Sumner
KO return and cover teams

I’ll go a different route from the impressive RB performance and say Rovig. Surprise start and great results. Good for him!
I thought Amadre on defensive side. He just seemed to be around the ball and played with a lot of energy.

Re: Unsung Heroes
Both good picks for sure, its so difficult to pick just one. Rovig was no doubt the spark plug yesterday. Amandre certainly does cause his share of pressure and its fun to see when the QB changes directions to avoid one, only to meet the other.superbobcat wrote: ↑Sun Sep 22, 2019 10:03 amI’ll go a different route from the impressive RB performance and say Rovig. Re: Unsung Heroes
My vote goes to Denarius McGee. He has built one hell of a stable of RB's.
While registering my vehicles the assessor stated "I have had both Cat and Griz students and alums work for me and the Griz end up working under the direction of the Cats."
