I'm probably going to regret this but... what's ONE song you want to hear at Bobcat Stadium? We're putting the final touches on our music selection for the season, and I can always use extra selections.
Thanks!

First of all, you're definitely going to regret this, not probably.
Personally, I say ignore what anyone from this message board tells you to play. Our butts will be in our seats every Saturday whether we love the music or hate it. As great as the atmosphere is for Bobcat football games, having a consistently packed and excited student section would make it even better. So play what the students will enjoy and what will get them excited about coming to the stadium every week and not just for Gold Rush and Cat/Griz every other year.
I have to disagree. Music is an important part of the game day experience and keeping fans happy is importan
I say thank you for asking.

This is all you need to go with, Bethany. Make the students want to stay. Give them some sweet tunes. Make them want to dance. More cameras on the students during songs so they try to get on camera. Keep their attention. They contribute a ton to the energy in the stadium.
Also, FMLYHM would be a great song to play. Lost in Tokyo....Bethany, do you have plans tonight? I'm a couple hundred miles from Japan tonight. And I was thinking I could fly to your hotel tonight. And I can't get you off my mind....lol
You have to scratch half of these songs off the list because the majority of crowd or students have never heard them before. If they are not familiar with the song, they probably won’t jump in and sing, scream or shout.
Hells Bells for me was really a cue to get up and scream on third downs. It always seemed to engage the crowd.
That's good for me!

I was thinking that maybe not every song is made to get us fired up. When you think about the psychology of sports crowds, sometimes you just want them to feel good, doing something they have done before at the moment....like scoring a go ahead touchdown. (Sweet Caroline)
I just wouldn't play it while the game is still in doubt, or at a tense moment. I think Sweet Caroline is like Red Aurbach "Lighting the Cigar"

I know this is a Pittsburgh Steelers thing, but "Renengade" by STYX at a crucial moment in the 2nd half is awesome!!

Just play "Everybody Wants to be a Cat" from Aristocats on a loop the entire time. It's a real people pleaser.

I don’t give a ****** what music we play but can’t we figure out a better way to make advertising dollars than to watch a stupid floating mustache hover on people’s foreheads?

Maybe if we had a mustache floating on their upper lip?

FWIW Texas Tech used the same “cams” as part of their game day experience with the exception of the “kiss cam”.

Please no Cotton Eyed Joe...every time I hear that song it reminds me of some mushroom high, dread locked hair hippie dancing around at a friz game with maggots flying out of his wool socks and birkenstocks.....

so yeah... clearly, nobody likes or wants the Sweet Caroline song...
If you could get everyone singing the line “Somewhere in the middle of Montana” it would cool.
Like I said on the other thread, a good HD scoreboard showing some great Montana scenery during one of the long long commercial breaks and singing along with Merle...I could do that.

Of course I am getting so danged old that perhaps Toby Keith’s “As Good as I Once Was” is probably more appropriate for us older crowd members. Probably stick with Merle for now.

I thought getting OLD would have took longer.
I bet “Friends in low places” by Garth a Brooks would be a big hit for sing a long.

I heard Stranglehold today. That’s a pretty good song and feels like it would match up well with game atmosphere.
