Randy Houser, Josh Turner, Easton Corbin, Joe Nichols, Billy Currington and Eric Church have all made some decent country in the last decade or so. Still trying to decide if I like Luke Combs... He just sounds a little bit too much like Zac Brown Band, who I really don't care for, though his reprisal of Brooks & Dunn's "Brand New Man" isn't too bad.catsrback76 wrote: ↑Wed Aug 14, 2019 8:38 pmChris Stapleton is pretty much country!BLACKnBLUEnGOLD wrote: ↑Wed Aug 14, 2019 5:33 pmThat's not an unreasonable take.kennethnoisewater wrote: ↑Wed Aug 14, 2019 4:08 pmI'm with you, except that I'd argue they also stopped making country music in the 90's with very few exceptions.BLACKnBLUEnGOLD wrote: ↑Wed Aug 14, 2019 3:54 pmIncorrect. Then there's Florida-Georgia Line and Kenny Chesney. Blah.
Eric Curry STILL makes me sad.

Good QB discussion going on here.
Maybe I should add my 2 cents to get us back on track. The last real QB in the NFL was Brett Farve.

You do recall Jerry Glanville waived him, correct? Maybe it's something about MSU that they (coaches) somehow fail to recognize quarterback talent? Just a thought...Long Time Cat wrote: ↑Thu Aug 15, 2019 7:59 amGood QB discussion going on here.

Why dismiss Coach Cole last fall? Your only experienced QB coach. Just a thought...

Glanville traded him for a 1st round pick, he didn't waive him. You're wrong, again.Cat Grad wrote: ↑Thu Aug 15, 2019 8:21 amYou do recall Jerry Glanville waived him, correct? He was traded, not waived. It's in the same article you just posted. Maybe you should read it.

Glanville was not the one who traded him, for what it's worth...the GM was able to get someone in the form of a draft pick for him and that's good on him. Suffice it to say Glanville didn't want him and let it go at that as far as I'm concerned and he got the Falcons to the Super Bowl with a different quarterback.

...may as well because we know who the quarterback is going to be. Why not discuss what's the best craft brew in Montana and what kind of food you're preparing for your first tailgate? Personally, I flip a coin between a Cold Smoke or Copper John but there are a few chick beers like the various and assorted IPAs the girls like that I have to take.

Fawv-ray was traded, 99 has it correct. A first-round pick for him shows he had value.bobcat99 wrote: ↑Thu Aug 15, 2019 10:58 amLol are you serious?Cat Grad wrote: ↑Thu Aug 15, 2019 10:28 amGuess you're way off again too: https://www.ajc.com/sports/football/jer ... …and this is why Jerry Glanville is an afterthought. He coached Portland State and was terrible. What an odd episode that was living here.Jerry Glanville was in his first year as the Falcons’ head coach and didn’t agree with the drafting of Favre. He wanted Browning Nagle out of Louisville.
Seattle to Billings to Missoula to Bozeman to Portland to Billings

Yes, he did get traded. Lost in the conversation is that Glanville didn't like him. The point I was trying to make.PapaG wrote: ↑Thu Aug 15, 2019 12:02 pmFawv-ray was traded, 99 has it correct.
