Re: Fall camp 2019
Rovig isn’t a big sky QB and Bauman isn’t ready yet, this is what I guess you call an unfortunate situation. There is a reason they wanted Gresch and the other transfer bad. The coaches knew Murray was going to be the best option come fall, but also knew his grades were an issue.
If your left, you aren’t right.

How the hell do you know how I found out about the picks and bad throws and mediocre play today? I assume you are assuming, so assume away.bobcat99 wrote: ↑Sat Aug 10, 2019 2:59 pmHi-Line Bobcat wrote: ↑Sat Aug 10, 2019 2:57 pmAll I will say is we are deep trouble at QB. Lol.
Wait for more information. Maybe one guy threw none, or one. That's not awful.
Our defense is very good. So relax, okay? Commenting that we're in trouble strictly based on stats, when you didn't get to watch anything, is just a touch ignorant.

Were you there? Did you see what was happening for yourself? Rovig looked like a decent QB last year when he played.Hi-Line Bobcat wrote: ↑Sat Aug 10, 2019 3:00 pmRovig isn’t a big sky QB and Bauman isn’t ready yet, this is what I guess you call an unfortunate situation. Re: Fall camp 2019
1st Scrimmage of fall camp and it's already like a game day thread. With this cool, rainy weather today it almost feels like September reading Bobcat Nation!!
In interviews, both Choate and Miller said they were going to try to emphasize the vertical passing game. Doing so against our DBs, it's no surprise there were 3 picks today. Also, we don't know who threw them yet. It could have been 3rd string. It could have been dropped/deflected passes. I'll wait a little longer before hitting the panic button!

Some people are a lot like slinkies....... Not really good for much, but it puts a smile on your face to watch them fall down a set of stairs.

Was I there, no. Did I hear from someone there, yes. Did I use Greg’s tweet or stuff from colter, no. Is that sufficient for you? We have arguably / realistically the best back end defense in the conference. I'd be surprised if their wasn't a couple turnovers. Whoever the QB is will get more reps, some good game experience, and will lock it down over the next few weeks. It's all good

Pressure was off because it wasn't very close, and SDSU wasn't playing all of their starters.luckyirishguy25 wrote: ↑Sat Aug 10, 2019 3:09 pmHe didn't look terrible in the second half of the SDSU game.bobcat99 wrote: ↑Sat Aug 10, 2019 3:07 pmHe looked good against a bad team.luckyirishguy25 wrote: ↑Sat Aug 10, 2019 3:02 pmWere you there? I don't think Rovig is awful, I don't think I'd say he's not a BSC game, but he's not my preferred guy either.

Any TD's, good plays, how'd the defense look, etc?

Ie were the picks ducks, overthrows or were they trying to thread needles? context is very important.bobcat99 wrote: ↑Sat Aug 10, 2019 3:21 pmGoodness, relax buddy. Rachael tweets:
Choate said QBs were live for contact. Said LB Walker Cozzie hit Tucker Rovig hard in one instance. Defense had 3 takeaways: Interceptions by Greg Filer, Jahque Alleyne and Ty Okada
Choate post scrimmage: They will evaluate the film and meet as a coaching staff, and if they’re ready to announce a starting QB on Monday, they will.

Rachac;
More Choate on Rovig/Bauman:
"I thought they both showed good poise. There was some short-yardage stuff where you’re standing back behind the huddle and listening to both of them (saying), ‘Hey, let’s go get this done.’ That’s the right demeanor that I wanted to see."
"The negative stuff, a lot of times that’s hard to really say without going back and looking at the film. I guarantee there were some negatives."

An INT isn't always on the QB. Sometimes the WR runs the wrong route. Sometimes the QB throws up a 50-50 ball hoping his WR makes the play.
Why don't you get more information before pulling the fire alarm.

Re: Fall camp 2019
Not sure who all played quarterback, but three interceptions with the way Choate is talking probably means one guy threw two and the other one. If one guy threw all three a quarterback would’ve been named. You’d think.
