Why? W baby, on the road against a BSC opponent! 1 TD passing, 1 TD running, I INT, and several dropped passes. He is not the problem in this game, play calling in the 4th was more of an issue, not QB play!

Re: QB Update
Bauman is so inaccurate. How is he going to benefit us any more than Rovig is now?? Every slant from Bauman is behind the reciever. Comebacks are high or low and often 2 yards wide. He was benched for a reason. He'll probably be the guy eventually, but not this year.

Re: QB Update
Drops? When you throw a rocket three yards hard to catch, when you lob the ball 30 yards down the field when the defender and receiver both touch the ball, that isn’t a drop. The ball isn’t where it should be or thrown properly. If the QB plays average with this team we don’t lose the rest of the season in the big sky.catsrback76 wrote: ↑Sat Oct 05, 2019 9:17 pmWhy? It’s not BS. He under threw his best WR in the most crucial moment of the game and it resulted in a pick.Cat4LifeHouseDivided wrote: ↑Sat Oct 05, 2019 9:19 pmThis is bs. There is a reason Jonsen took the snaps in OT.

One throw to the outside to Jonsen, other than that, no he didn’t throw good with pressure.Cat4LifeHouseDivided wrote: ↑Sat Oct 05, 2019 9:19 pmThis is bs. There were easily 2 if not more drops. 12 of 24 with those drops and 2 hail marys. He would have had 60% completion if those catches are made.Hi-Line Bobcat wrote: ↑Sat Oct 05, 2019 9:20 pmDrops? Re: QB Update
Tucker played winning football other than the floater to Kassis. He made throws under pressure all night and had a rough 4th quarter and the playcalling did him no favors. What I don't understand is Matt going away from the ol' Travis Jonsen no-handoff keeper that gets good yards every play. We threw the ball way too much even if we had Aaron Rodgers back there in the 4th quarter.
Regardless....we get to go home winners for a big homecoming game against Sac State!

When you are tasked with managing the game that means not turning the ball over. I’d rather wait for a QB to develop who doesn’t make costly mistakes at critical points of the game.Cat4LifeHouseDivided wrote: ↑Sat Oct 05, 2019 9:20 pmHe also didnt complete many passes. A. That was the right play calling in OT. Get in a position to score. B. People have said Rovig looked hurt coming off the field. You dont have a clue why it was all Jonsen. Just assumptions.utucats wrote: ↑Sat Oct 05, 2019 9:21 pmIt’s not BS. There is a reason Jonsen took the snaps in OT.
If you would have felt comfortable with Rovig taking those snaps and relying on his arm to win that game then you should be committed.

Re: QB Update
We don't have a good QB on the roster. The answer is just to throw less. SIX players have had 100 yard games already this year. We should be playing to our strengths, not forcing something that's not there. We can come up with enough variety to keep defenses on their toes while throwing less than 20 times per game.
Eastwood, did not make it. Ball out! Recovered, by Montana State!! The Bobcats hold!!! The Bobcats hold!!!
