I’m not saying CB is the answer but this competition shouldn’t be settled. Rovig doesn’t deserve to keep the starting job after the last 2 games.
2-0
What was Bauman’s record?
2-1.
And Rovig would have beat Texas Tech?
Did I say that? You asked for his record and I gave it to you..but keep trying for an argument.
Point is Bauman’s record is as good as Rovig’s.

Rovig is just good enough to get to beat.

We are fine, I am more concerned with Ifanse being injured. Roving osmotic a team favorite, but he throws a better mid game. Just manage games and don’t lose them.

No matter how you slice it...

We do not have a qb... period.

There is not a magical replacement that is gonna solve the GLARING issues at this position. Just gonna have to deal with it this year as best they can.

My advice- wildcat with Jonsen every 7 out of 10 plays.

I could see the “bench the qb” talk after last game, I am amazed that it is going on after this game. Rovig made some grown man throws today, every slant he threw was catchable. He made one bad throw, in a critical moment, but only one!? People keep talking about how he doesn’t read through his progressions, Choate has mentioned TWICE during pressers that they don’t coach that. It may be because of experience and ability (or lack thereof) but he said they teach pre snap, first read if it’s not there go.

Bauman is 2-1

Rovig is 4-1 in his starts.

How is that "as good"? (Cue quality of opponent argument).

Throw out each one's toughest opponent loss (TT and SDSU), Rovig is 4-0, Bauman 2-0

Rovig isn't (I don't think) ever going to light up the league. I think he still has potential to be a competent game manager. I remain disappointed though we have to settle for "competent" at the QB position.

Put BAUMAN back in
Why? W baby, on the road against a BSC opponent! 1 TD passing, 1 TD running, I INT, and several dropped passes. He is not the problem in this game, play calling in the 4th was more of an issue, not QB play!
Bauman didn’t throw those picks.

Jonsen never passes. Beltran entered a QB competition and came out of it in 3rd place.
And Jonsen can't pass
Beltran has never been given a chance. It was always just between Rovig and Bauman.

I thought he played pretty well, really, save for the int. Some bad play calling got us off kilter in the early 4th there, i thought. Rovig threw the ball confidently, even after the pick. Great? No. But an improvement, i thought.

100 percent, it’s a no brainer at this point. If you give Rovig any pressure he makes mistakes and refuses to scan the field for guys running wide open, specifically the tight ends.
This is bs. He hit throws today with pressure in his face.
It’s not BS. He under threw his best WR in the most crucial moment of the game and it resulted in a pick.

There is a reason Jonsen took the snaps in OT.
Because he's part of the Offense? :-k \:D/

I’m not gonna pile on the guy. But I’m still at the stadium wading through traffic. Rovig had passes all over the place today. He wasn’t accurate to say the least. Like I said I’m not trying to pile on the guy, but surprised you think he had only one bad pass. He was rough

Ha. You could probably make an argument for EVERY qb in the league that is below us... definitely frustrating.

And we run the ball incredibly efficient inside the 30...even more so inside the 20.
