Eidens a Junior.ibleedblue wrote: ↑Thu Oct 31, 2019 7:58 pmI just saw Croy has committed to the Griz. Is there still a chance for Eiden?
Oh I understand it. Just bummed because I like him as a player. Would've fit in very well at MSU.Catastrophy11 wrote: ↑Thu Oct 31, 2019 9:09 pmWhy? his Dad played for the Griz

If the roles where reversed, heritage player, lives in Bozeman... I would say no shot."
Croy’s dad played for the Griz? I don’t recall seeing that. When was he there?bobcat99 wrote: ↑Thu Oct 31, 2019 9:35 pmOh I understand it. Just bummed because I like him as a player. Would've fit in very well at MSU.Catastrophy11 wrote: ↑Thu Oct 31, 2019 9:09 pmWhy? his Dad played for the Griz

"Croy was an all-state running back at Huntley Project as a junior, running for 2,173 yards and 32 touchdowns.Cataholic wrote: ↑Fri Nov 01, 2019 7:46 amCroy’s dad played for the Griz? Of course we still have a chance for Eiden. In fact, MSU has the best chance to land Eiden out of any FCS school. However, he is being highly coveted by not only the two in-state schools but also Missouri Valley powers NDSU and SDSU (Jason Eck has been his primary recruiter). It will be a battle next year.ibleedblue wrote: ↑Thu Oct 31, 2019 7:58 pmI just saw Croy has committed to the Griz. Is there still a chance for Eiden?
Croy's dad played one fall for the Griz, hardly a legacy pick for him to go play there. Hate to say it but not a huge loss for the Cats- Croy is the third best RB on the Hawks squad behind a hurt O'Reilly and Eiden. Eiden is carrying the ball a little more now that it's playoff time and much more explosive and elusive than Croy.Catastrophy11 wrote: ↑Fri Nov 01, 2019 9:41 am"Croy was an all-state running back at Huntley Project as a junior, running for 2,173 yards and 32 touchdowns.Cataholic wrote: ↑Fri Nov 01, 2019 7:46 amCroy’s dad played for the Griz? Croy is the son of Guy Croy, who played for the Montana Grizzlies"

You are correct though, 3rd best back on Bozeman's team.
Croy *was* the backup before O'Reilly got hurt.NorthernPlains wrote: ↑Mon Nov 04, 2019 6:43 pmbobcat99 wrote: ↑Mon Nov 04, 2019 2:04 pmI have absolutely no idea where Croy plays in college. FB? I read he was the leading rusher in AA football.
Is this a case of "Our back up is better than our starter"?
O'Reilly was going to play both ways regardless in 2019 but the addition of Croy added extra flexibility with McCade. That flexibility would've included more or less offensive reps depending on the opponent and more of a full slate on defense. Bozeman would've been the easy front-runner this fall if McCade was playing. There's a good argument he's the most talented of the three brothers (Payton, Callahan, and McCade) because of his two-way ability. However, Payton and Callahan each have a pretty good case themselves.bobcat99 wrote: ↑Mon Nov 04, 2019 6:44 pmCroy *was* the backup before O'Reilly got hurt.NorthernPlains wrote: ↑Mon Nov 04, 2019 6:43 pmbobcat99 wrote: ↑Mon Nov 04, 2019 2:04 pmI have absolutely no idea where Croy plays in college. Croy is impressive to watch, isn't afraid to hit, guessing if McCade wasn't hurt, the Hawks would have had easily had the best 1/2 RB combo in the state. Either one could be #1 or #2. Extremely impressed with Croy this year.NorthernPlains wrote: ↑Mon Nov 04, 2019 6:43 pmbobcat99 wrote: ↑Mon Nov 04, 2019 2:04 pmI have absolutely no idea where Croy plays in college. FB? H-Back? Coach who??superbobcat wrote: ↑Tue Nov 12, 2019 7:45 pmI know two great people that have had Coach as a coach over the years. They have nothing but respect for him. Several parentA of players over the years have always spoken highly of his honesty and character and how he cares for their kids. Good enough for me, I’d love to sit and have a beer or two with him and listen to his experiences.
I think he was referring to Choate. I am guessing he wanted to post in the other thread about perceived mind games.kennethnoisewater wrote: ↑Tue Nov 12, 2019 9:56 pmCoach who??superbobcat wrote: ↑Tue Nov 12, 2019 7:45 pmI know two great people that have had Coach as a coach over the years. Man you are so selfish. I'm lazy and don't have near the eye or the ability to write about it, do you see me shirking my duties?VimSince03 wrote: ↑Mon Nov 25, 2019 6:17 pmGonna enjoy the Thanksgiving weekend...then its go time gentlemen.
