WR Position

The Cat’s are now down two young WR’s from the same class.
It’s certainly not panic time, but that’s not exactly great either.

I do believe the Cat’s will have more of a passing attack this year, but until that is actually proven out on the field, they could have a tough time attracting and retaining top WR talent consistently.

I don’t think either of these losses hurts the Cats this year. But it does hurt depth and the development of the position.
Maybe there is another receiver/athlete the staff is still after to add to this years class, that’d certainly help.

Current list of next year’s WR’s:

Jabari Johnson- SR (really hope he is able to go this year)
Kevin Kassis- SR
Davine Tullis- SR
Travis Jonsen- SR

Lance McCutcheon- JR

James Campbell- RS Soph
Willie Patterson- RS Soph
Coy Steel- RS Soph
Peyton Hanser- RS Soph

Mark Estes- RS Freshman
Logan Kleinhans- RS Freshman

Tanner Trafton- True Freshman
Jaden Smith- True Freshman

We're drilling down to the gold, the fools gold will always shine but will not make the grade. One name you forgot is Travis Jonsen!

Jonsen! My bad, I don’t know how I forgot him.
I think he’ll have a big year next year.

Wondering if the competition had them leave by not expecting to be a high priority target for the next few years. Want to be playing somewhere where they are a priority.

I like Estes a lot. He's fast and showed a great ability to make plays in high school. That doesn't always transfer obviously, but I'm hopeful. The jump from Class C to AA was not a tough adjustment, so I'm thinking the next one will be manageable for him.

He definitely seems to have the athletic ability to be an impactful receiver at this level..... hopefully he can put it all together.

I wouldn't discount it yet. He is a year more mature and year stronger. We are better with him on the field. I'mnexcited to see how thing shake out the fall.
