Hopefully your alumni tailgate party will be a little bit "closer" to the stadium than the griz alumni tailgate last year. I swear it was the equivalent of walking from East Missoula to Wa Griz. Be prepared to park miles away as well. Spoke to many griz fans at Joe Albi last year who were directed to park on the "other side" of campus when there were empty parking spots (in non parking pass lots) all over the place. Hope you guys don't mind some of us Griz fans showing up and cheering you guys on (although we won't have blue and gold on). I'd rather see the BSC come down to 2 teams from MT.

Cats15- We are also taking a motor home if the weather is OK. I called the Eastern Washington Athletic office yesterday and they told me that motor homes need to be parked in parking lot 12. There is a charge of $6.00. That is also where our tailgate party is.

Wasn't the Griz game in Spokane last year? This game is in Cheney, did the Griz play there last year?

The griz played in Cheney last year. Everyone I've talked to says their stadium is horrible, so I hope that is only in comparison to Wash-Read and not actually the worst thing since Hitler, as they make it sound.

Super, that sounds wonderful. I am ok with us playing anywhere as long as we can pull of the victory! GO CATS!

Agreed. The playing field will be very similar to what we are used to at Bobcat Stadium, so that will be nice (they are supposed to install synthetic turf this spring). As long as I have my seat at the game and I can be there to yell and scream for my Cats, I'll be happy! :D

They made some very good improvements in the stadium and it's orders of magnitude better than it was. Overall, the venue is marginal, but heck, it's Cheney - you're out in the middle of nowhere.

I went last year and I didn't think Woodward was bad. 1 problem is they will stack all of the Cat tickets in the endzone under the scoreboard, and there are no other scoreboards. But they also had GA admission up at the end of the stands near the press box, and those seats were pretty good.

Eagle fans were pretty good, it wasn't any issue to be sitting with them. The concessions kind of sucked, just real slow, and I don't think you could watch the game from the beer garden, but at least thee have one.

We got there kinda late, and ended up parking a long ways away at the middle school, I believe, about a 20 minute walk if I remember right. Traffic was backup up to I-90 from Cheney coming and going, so if you are driving try to get there early.

I don't know if they will have the endzone seating...might just have been to meet Griz demand last year. The recently departed AD said they would be limiting the amount of tickets for all visitors in the future as they wanted to create home field advantage. I would be willing to say they were outdrawn by Griz fans the last 2 years they played the game in Spokane, so the move payed off last year. I've seen a couple EWu games on TV this year and it appears as if they only have the aluminum bleachers on the sideline for visitors. From the endzone seating we had last year, you could not see the score board. We used our sons "Etch a Sketch", to pass along the score and time.

Oh it is shaping up to be real Bobcat weather, the forecast has degraded from rain to Rain/Snow...That should make it interesting!

There is a lot of misinformation within these posts. First of all, I live in Cheney. My son played and coaches for the Bobcats (Brandon Eggart). the stadium is not that bad. It is not completely enclosed and they do have a more limited pool of resources here. The field seems to be in good shape. They have made some improvements the last 2 years. There are permanent endzone seats that face the scoreboard. The seats that the Griz recall were temporary seats that were brought in to accommodate an overflow crowd. You can park in the upper lot if you get there early. Anywhere in that lot is at most a 1-2 minute walk. They have bleachers on the opposite side that I believe are general admission as well. Eastern fans are NOTHING like Griz fans. They will not be hostile or rude, in general. Of course, every team has a few of those. Let's pack the endzone seats as well as other sections.

There was no misinformation in my post. We got there 2 hours early and had a very long walk to the stadium and it was about twice as far to the tailgate area. I also noted the the endzone seating we had would probably not be set up for your game.

The comment about Eastern fans not being rude like GRIZ fans is crap. I can come back with Eastern fans are nothing like Cat fans, but it would be a lie. Eastern has their fair share of a$$es. Last year security had to escort some of their fans from the game as they seemed more interested in walking back and forth in front of our seating sections taunting, swearing and attempting to start fights, than they were the outcome of the game.

There is a reason you Griz fans get this type of treatment....because everybody in the league hates you! You have attended one game in Cheney so you have no idea how Eagle fans really are...except to you during that one game. I have been to hundreds of games here in Cheney over the past 20 years (football, basketball and volleyball). Eastern fans are mellow, but your arrogance as Grizzlies brings out the worst. Live with it...it is a fact!

I will tend to agree with this. The Griz are the Yankees of IAA football, ESPECIALLY in the Big Sky. You will be treated worse than any other BSC team that visits.
