The Good - MSU run D clamping down on Protheroe and Garcia in the second half. The duo had 24 runs for 179 (7.5) in the first half. Just 21 rushes for 83 (4.0) in the second half.
The Bad - fake FG late in the game. IMO if the snap occurs sooner that play had a chance. The clock was almost at zero, so the Mustangs were set and they were playing the fake.
The Ugly - late push on Prukop. Not sure Prukop didn't animate that a bit, but it was the second straight week that he was hit in an unsportsmanlike manner. The conference needs to clean that up.

Ash apologized to Daly on the post game for the fake field goal. Said that call was on him,and that he should have kicked it.

The Good- Our D came to play! what a great game they had! The O also looked amazing.
The Bad- I felt some defensive guys struggled when they tried to guess the Option, but once they were back on assignment they played well.
The Ugly- Eversports stream yesterday was AWFUL... Worst experience I have had to date with them, I hope they fix it.

The Good: Prukop's deep ball. He was on the money all day.
The Bad: Playing conservative in the 4th qtr. (yes it was the right way to close out the game. But I bet my buddy we'd score 50+)
The Ugly: My headache this morning.

The good: The whole game, the defense had some nice stops, we had both sustained drives and big plays on offense, special teams were solids....lots of fire on the sideline, the house rocked.......
The bad: The new plan for leaving parking lots, we were sent back around the stadium, over by the museum of the Rockies?????
The ugly: See "the bad"

Nice of you to actually show up. So I get it... Making up for lost time. Be proud of your headache, you earned it.

The Good: (lots been mentioned so I'll try and say something new....)
Jeffries had a breakout game in my opinion. I hope he's OK from the tweak. The kid makes great reads and had very good quickness. Good player when healthy, and he can play his role while Hutchins plays his. That's a great rotation.
There has been some mention of the PBUs from Keeton, but make no mistake about it, the kid should have confidence coming away from this game. I believe confidence was the missing ingredient in Keeton's game.
In the 1st half, the defensive 2s looked tentative and the 1s looked absolutely confident. The difference between the units on D was palpable. As the game progressed what I saw was a change in the mojo of the 2s. Although they still missed a few assignments in the 2nd half they started to play with total confidence. It made a difference. I made a post in a different thread about how important the play of the 2s will be this week at 7200 feet. I think the unit made a breakthrough with CP. That's huge.
Lots more obviously. Most of which has been have covered already.
The Bad:
Not sure exactly how to interpret the fact that the refs have totally swallowed their flags. Part of me likes it, but at times like when the #5 gets tossed to the ground a whole 5 seconds after the whistles started, I get agitated.
The Ugly:
I have to go with all the haters on BN. Why didn't Kramer's fire on the sideline prevent 80 points from one one the worst FBS teams of all time? Why did our guys tackle so well? Why does Ash even have a job anymore? Man you guys are irritating.

I also miss the option of having the games in an archive so you can watch some other teams later on after game day.

The Eastern-Sac State stream was actually pretty good (watched the Cat game on cable channel SWX).

The Good: Have to give props to the coaching staff and Ione. Flipping Sheridan to the outside and starting Thomas & Yates on the inside was brilliant. In fact there were times when we had 4 of our D Tackles on the line at one time. It was a great move! C Poly figured it out and started pitching it more (DT were having a tough time keeping contain with the speedy backs) but we adjusted shortly thereafter. I thought the defensive scheme was fantastic! The corners played great, Keeton did a great job and I have to say Timmer had very tight/good coverage on the TD pass, it was just a well placed ball and a good catch by the WR. I LOVE the energy by the D, everyone flying to the ball and looked like a more cohesive unit as everyone celebrated good plays and big stops.
The Bad: I might be picking the fly sh!t of the pepper on this one, but I am still a little concerned with some of the angles our safeties took. Garcia got burned on the first long TD run has me wondering about his top speed and he had a few tackles that were borderline late out of bounds that I was worried about a flag on. He did make up for it and had some great/hard hits. Hoping Jeffries injury was just a cramp, he played well and need him in the rotation.
The Ugly: The griz uniforms (can't think of anything I would consider "ugly" from our game)

I agree on Garcia's hits--they were close. Also wish he'd not do so much showboating but the flip side is that's probably part of what makes him so aggressive.
I also thought 2 or 3 of Keeton's PB's were very close to being pass interference. He got away with all of them this game but with that being somewhat of a judgement call all could go against him next game.

He turned his head and played the ball, which is a change of how they've all played. It's also tge reason for the no calls

Good: Defensive mix up. Brilliant!
Bad: More boneheaded play calling and decision making. Aside from the awesome ones, of course.
Ugly: Cal Poly's catch-up offense. By controlling the ball and the clock, they lose by less? Really?

I agree and I don't think they should have been PI. I'm just saying that there will be a game where all of those go against him.

I was just watching the highlights from the CP game, and it looks like Timmer actually may have gotten pulled down.
go to about 3:13. You see the CP WR go up backwards, and his arm rips downward and it looks almost like Timmer trips forward, but I think he actually got yanked forward/downward.
I'm not saying it should have been PI, but I think he stood a good chance of breaking that pass up had the CP WR not done that.
Just an observation on a Friday afternoon, counting down the hours here.
