Cozzie is a big hitter. It's starts at that bubble. (Some old football jargon).

Prevost is in Bozeman? That is encouraging. Not often a big shark gets this far inland. He must be hungry.

Didn't Prevost go to high school with Khari Garcia?

I think that was Tyrone Fa'anono. Regardless, I think Prevost had no intention of ever quitting. He was up in Bozeman before school had started last fall before the news came down. He literally could solve our "Bandit" problem on defense if he is here next fall.

Fa'a is Oaks Christian and Prevost and Garcia are Charter Oak. That would be really good news if Prevost becomes eligible.

We are cleaning up on Montana players! Grinde is huge both figuratively and literally! If I hear anyone complain about us recruiting too many lineman, look at the roster and understand who is graduating in the next two seasons. The line we are recruiting right now (along with last year) are the future of this program...and they are all large humans. \:D/

This is great news, would love to see him play! Was Prevost recruited to play LB or DE?

Prevost was a hybrid defensive end/outside linebacker. He also played some inside linebacker. Think Von Miller for his position!

Has someone actually seen him in Bozeman in the last 4 months? I don't even want to start getting excited about him until he is enrolled in school.

The source I have says he saw him with Robert Wilcox while he was at dinner.

VimSince03 wrote:First post guys! Did any of you watch Cozzie's tape? I did and it looks like a no-brainer to me! Size, speed, plays with great leverage, and pops the ball carrier nearly every hit. Shows signs of Singleton in his ability to get in the backfield. I think it is a huge get for the Cats regardless of his All-State status! Plus I love Montana born linebackers. As for not getting any "high-profile" players, the best ones usually take time to make a decision so I wouldn't expect to hear anything until January visits and after. Gotta love recruiting season warming up!

Yes, he has a nice nose for the ball and he explodes through the runner when we tackles. Should be a very nice LB for the Cats!!!

I saw Cozzie play in Butte. He was all over the field. Heard his name all game. Definite FCS kid. Gonna be a good Bobcat!

Wow! We're cleaning out the state of Montana of players. We now have 19 OL. That's enough to go almost four deep. We have at least 14 for spring, almost three deep. Gonna get some good work on offense.

Whoops I meant Wilkes is huge! But Grinde is a horse as well haha. He wants to go to Stanford after next season correct?

Second that, it is a big deal to at least bring the MT kids in as far as bringing people to the games. I know they are recruiting a kid out of Stanford. Cousin lives there says he is a big kid, that could possibly develop.

“Once I got the Montana State offer, I was pretty set,” Wilkes said. “With all the coaching issues that are going on over with the Griz, there’s too many ifs, ands or buts over there.”

I thought his comment about the coaching situation at UM was interesting. I wonder how much that's hurting them, by not having a new head coach in place yet. I know you want to take your time and be sure to make a good hire, but in terms of recruiting, it seems like it would be in their best interest to hire someone sooner rather than later.

I wonder if he meant butts!
