Jeff Williams joins Shea Washington at S. Oregon

Post by mslacat » Sun Jun 27, 2004 10:58 am

On a slow news week I thought I might, pass this along. For those who remember Jeff Williams played the Bobcat a few years back, but moved on because he thought he was not getting enough playing time. He ended up riding the bench for Southern Idaho JC the next year and was out of basketball last year. Good luck Mr. Williams.

Former Montana State player signs on for his Third College in four years...
Former North Salem basketball player Jeff Williams will play for Southern Oregon University in the 2004-05 season. It will be the third college in four years for Williams, a 6-foot-8, 230-pound power forward. He initially played at Montana State but had ankle injuries and was limited to 12 games. He played for College of Southern Idaho in 2002-03 and didn’t play this past season. Williams averaged 18 points and 11 rebounds as a senior at North Salem. Williams will join another former MSU transfer, Shea Washington, who became an NAIA all-America player last year. “Jeff gives us a very talented inside presence to play along side Shea,” coach Brian McDermott said. “He can step outside and shoot, and he has a soft touch inside.”
