Fans leaving early

Okay, have to vent a little-
The one thing that pissed me off more than anything yesterday was the Giant stream of "fans" leaving the stadium yesterday with over 6 minutes left to play in the 4th quarter.
Beside the point that the Cats nearly came back and tied it or possibly won (missed field goal), leaving that early is just pathetic! Odds are the large amount of people leaving early will not read this (cuz they probably dont frequent this board), but if you are one of those people, dont ever call yourself a fan, cuz you are not, yer just a ****** bandwagon fan.
okay, vent session over.....

You're right, I doubt a lot of those people read this board. We have a lot of transitional fans right now. "6-0? Yeah, I'm going to the game. Game after a loss? Nope, not going." We'd have a hard time selling out the next game, but UND will bring a lot of fans -- just to see the mountains

-- and it'll be full. I bet there are around 2,000 North Dakotans in two weeks.

I completely agree.....I was pissed when people started leaving. Drives me nuts to think how our players feel when they see people leaving like that.

I noticed that too but in defense of some, at least the ones in 107 were elderly fans and I can't blame them for getting a head start on the ridiculus traffic after the game.

Had to leave early for a wedding

. We wanted to stay but couldn't help it. I agree though. There were a lot of people leaving too early.

Those fans left early so they could go cry because both their teams from Montana lost.

You have no clue why I left early. I spent 4 hours in the ER with them telling me I was having a heart attack. As soon as they said I could leave, but I needed to see my cardiologist ASAP, I was at the game yelling my head off. I left early to make it to my pharmacy to get the pills they prescribed for me just in case. Before they closed for the day.
So, before you wonderful fans start saying stupid ******, maybe think before you open your mouth. I've never left a game early. I was the only person in section 108 about 10 yrs ago. I've been to every Cat game since I moved back 18 years ago. Don't you dare try to tell me you're a better fan because I left early to get what I needed to make myself feel better.
I'm sorry everyone isn't worthy of calling themselves Cat fans in your eyes.
This place is turning into egriz. What a joke.

I hope the pills work.
I think this post is specifically calling out the people who did leave early just to beat traffic. If only the people who absolutely needed to leave early left, it would have been like a dozen people out of the whole stadium, and it wouldn't have been noticeable enough for this thread to be started. It's not like there were 2000 people who all needed to go to the pharmacy to get heart medication. The majority of the people who left almost certainly did it because they'd rather have an easy time getting out of the parking lot than support the team 'til the end of the game. This thread is about those people.

TOMCAT... thanks for the laugh... oh my god, thats hilarious.
Tomcat "but UND will bring a lot of fans -- just to see the mountains -- and it'll be full. I bet there are around 2,000 North Dakotans in two weeks."
NDSU travels with 4000-5000 fans to every away game, UND will bring about 220.
when this lands on Bisonville's proposturous statement tournament 2012, i hope I get credit for finding it. thats GOLD JERRY!

I know a lot of people who are going to games now that never went before and I'm always amazed at who I see while walking through the stadium. It really is the "thing" to do in Bozeman. I remember when men's basketball games where that way (to a slightly lesser extent) back in the late 80's. As far as that all goes-global warming is really good for Bobcat football fandom too.
Won't the next game be during hunting season? If so, that will probably impact the crowd size considerably. That's just the way it is 'round these parts.

obviously the post wasn't directed at someone that had to leave early to get their medicine. If you can't see that, then you are a moron.
I'm pretty sure the couple thousand people filing out of the stadium were not all heading to the pharmacy.
The post was directed at fans that left half way through the 4th quarter, because..... ya know what, I don't think i need to explain my post, i think
most people get the point.

I couldn't care less who it is directed at. Who made you guys the crowd police. It's none if anyone's business who leaves early or why. To tell people that leave early they aren't a real fan, but a bandwagon fan, is idiotic. Who cares. They paid for the ticket. They can come and go as they please. Just like all the people that bitch because people go out and tailgate at halftime. That's been bitched about on here all season. Is everyone of the people that miss half of the third quarter a bandwagon fan also?
Stop worrying about what everyone else is doing, and enjoy the game anyway you want. You paid for your ticket, they paid for theirs.

You're going to hate this post.
Out of the 20,000 people in the stadium, I know maybe 1% of them. That makes the other 99% strangers, which is another way of saying "people I don't care about." I don't care if they
enjoy the game. I only care if the Bobcats win, which as far as the fans go means I only care if they provide the maximum possible home field advantage for the Bobcats.
I won't use the term "bandwagon" because I don't care about it, but fans who miss half the third quarter are ineffective fans. I don't think it's a coincidence that the third quarter was when the momentum started to swing back toward EWU.

With all due respect, who gives a rip about who stays and who goes in the crowd? Really???
I would love to see everyone be JUST like me, I am perfect, have perfect perspectives, shout the loudest, tailgate the absolute best, and stay in the stadium at all the right times. I am PREFECT FAN MAN!!!
All the rest of you are simply POSERS! Probably BlackNBlueBGold is the biggest poser of them all!

Maybe you should find a way to keep your fellow students in at halftime then? If you've got ideas, let MSU athletics hear them.

Our tardy fans at the start of the third quarter distracted our front line just enough, to miss a simple block and allow a punt to be blocked. Dang it, they also caused DMac to throw a pick six because he looked into the student section and saw some empty seats. It was our fans leaving early for half-time chow and drinks which allowed EWU to score before the half. Our entire offense was watching the exit-gate when the ball was snapped. Have to hand it to EWU not to be so distracted. They came to play. I think our offense wanted to leave early late in the game as they moved the ball closer to the locker room instead of toward the endzone. It's embarrassing watching the streams of urine pouring down players/coaches legs when they realize that other teams are going to fight back and not just submit to our ranking. (Hats off to Jake Bleskin with completing a nice pass in the final game. He appears ready to go.)
If the players/coaches want us in the stands they should play better and entertain us. We paid for our ticket to watch some talent and team that is prepared to win. It's entertainment folks. “CATS the musical” was on Broadway and around the world for years because people enjoyed the show and continued to come. Our Cats need to provide better entertainment.
I stay for the entire game, always, but often times wish I hadn't. I don't blame people from walking out on this team. I could have gone fishing instead watching that meltdown. I'm sure others wish they hadn't shown since our offense and ST really don't show up each week. (Good job defense. You guys are fun to watch.)
That's my vent in response to your vent.
