General Sports web sites

Post by mslacat » Thu Jul 28, 2005 12:42 pm

Hey, guys and gals, I am wondering what "General web Sports" sites you guys like. I used to really like the grand daddy ESPN.com but it has turned into an almost -insider pay site- completely. Suggestions?

CBS Sportsline is what I typically go to for the exact reasons you posted. They still have their "insider" links, but its still a very good site... especially for college hoops.

I used to spend quite a bit of time on SI.com but my employer recently blocked that site. I can still access all the others though????? I think CBS is the best for college basketball but spend as much time as anywhere on ESPN but couldn't agree more that lately it seems like if I want to read any of the good stuff I need to be an insider. When I could access it though I liked SI better.

College basketball coverage on CBS is top notch. Cant believe a basketball guy like yourself Mslacat, doesnt check that on a regular basis. If only Andy Kats would join Gregg Doyle and Tony Mejia at CBS, what a site that would be.

Matter of fact, I think CBS does a helluva job on all college sports. Their football coverage is equivalent or better than ESPNs. Unless ESPN has changed in the last season, I rarely check the ESPN site at all.
